The Bible contains over three million letters (3,000,000) precisely, 3,566,480 letters. There are 31,000 verses and 1,189 chapters in the Bible. About 38 hours are needed to read through the Old Testament while 11 hours are needed to read through the New Testament making it a total of 49 hours to finish the whole Bible.

The Bible has been proved to be written by 40 different writers over a period of 1,600 years. The great subject of the Bible is "Jesus Christ". It is in fact the most interesting book in the world. It is the best selling book in the world till date for more than 40 years running. Also, about 400 years before Jesus Christ was born, the Old Testament was completed. It was written in the Hebrew language. Some brief sections (parts of Ezra and Daniel) were written in the "Aramaic language"!

It was only after the earthly life of the Lord Jesus that the books and epistles of the New Testament were written, and that in Greek, since this was the universal language at that particular time. Around 100 years after our Lord Jesus Christ, the New Testament was completed.
