Top Ranked Cars To Buy For 2017 by kaimagist: 4:49pm On Jan 16, 2017
We all want to start off the New Year on a high note. The following cars and SUVs are doing just that, as they currently rank at the top of their respective classes in the U.S. News Best Car Rankings.
Mazda3
If you’re looking for an affordable sporty car, the Mazda3 is a smart choice. It’s one of the most fun-to-drive offerings in the compact car segment. It’s also impressive inside, with top-notch materials, comfy seats, and a modern design. The Mazda3’s many strengths helped Mazda earn the Best Car Brand Award for 2016.

Despite the accolades, sales of the Mazda3 fell 11 percent in 2016, and December was particularly bad, registering a 17.6 percent dip in sales from the same period in 2015. Demand for compact cars in general has been weak, as sales were 3 percent lower in December than they were in December of 2015.

Slow demand means now is a great time for savings on the Mazda3. For the best finance and lease rates in your area this month, visit the Mazda deals page. Before you go to the dealership, check out the U.S. News Best Price Program to find the lowest price near you.

Chevy Malibu
The Malibu was fully redesigned in 2016, and thanks to its excellent safety and reliability scores, and family-friendly features and space, we named the 2016 Malibu the Best Midsize Car for Families. Add in its excellent gas mileage and pleasant driving dynamics, and it’s easy to see why the Malibu is the top-ranked midsize car.

Sales have been relatively steady for the Malibu, but demand and prices for the midsize car segment have fallen recently. In fact, 8 percent fewer midsize cars were sold last month than in the same period a year ago. That’s the largest drop of any mainstream class.

Chevy dealers should be willing to negotiate in order to spur sales for the New Year, which could mean hefty savings for you. To find the dealer in your area with the lowest prices, use the U.S. News & World Report Best Price Program. Also, check out this month’s Chevy deals for all the best finance and lease offers.

Ford F-150
Ford isn’t having any trouble selling the F-150. It’s not only the best-selling full-size pickup truck this year; it’s the best-selling vehicle overall in the U.S. That’s not surprising, considering the F-150 has the towing and hauling capability you’d expect of a big truck, along with a roomy and handsome interior, easy-to-use technology, a smooth ride, and top-notch crash test scores.

Even though sales are strong, some other market trends are working in your favor this month. Full-size truck sales declined 3.6 percent last month relative to the same period in 2015, while Ford sales dipped 2.4 percent. Prices for Ford vehicles have also fallen over the past month, while the industry as a whole has experienced inflation.

Those forces could help you find some savings this month on America’s most popular vehicle. Use the U.S. News & World Report Best Price Program to find the dealer in your area with the lowest price. This month’s Ford Deals could net you even more savings.

Honda Ridgeline
Honda reintroduced the Ridgeline for the 2017 model year, and it caters to truck buyers who are more concerned with practicality and civility than prodigious towing or back-country off-roading. While it’s not as rugged as some alternatives, it offers a smooth, carlike ride; a long list of tech features; and excellent bed and in-cabin storage options. It’s currently the top-ranked compact pickup truck.

Prices for Honda vehicles have fallen 0.4 percent in the last year, while the industry as a whole has registered 1.5 percent price growth. Plus, in just the last month, compact pickup truck prices have tumbled 1.1 percent, while prices went up slightly for the rest of the industry.

Falling prices mean now is a great time for savings on the Ridgeline. For the best finance and lease rates in your area this month, visit the Honda deals page. Before you go to the dealership, check out the U.S. News Best Price Program to find the lowest price near you.
