CATHOLIC PRIEST STORMS CHURCH WITH LOADED AK-47 AND THIS HAPPENED (MUST SEE) Naija News rep January 15, 2017 People, Society January 15, 2017 CATHOLIC PRIEST STORMS CHURCH WITH LOADED AK-47 AND THIS HAPPENED (MUST SEE) A photo of a military catholic priest ministering at a podium with a rifle strapped to his arms has generated a social media debate. The photo was taken at the St. James Catholic Cathedral located in the military base in Yobe state during the height of the Boko Haram insurgency. The priest is seen with his Ak47 rifle strapped to his shoulders as he carries out his ministry to his congregation. Some Nigerians reacting to the photo have commended the clergy man for being alert in church. Others however, faulted the priest for carrying a gun in the Cathedral. They said the priest lacked the courage to believe that God can fight his battles. This picture is old., and it is normal to carry gun at war front. A military man is indoctrinated to believe that his gun is his life. He must take it everywhere he goes. Military doctors at the war front also carry guns. So, your story is dead and stupid. |

With the increasing level of insecurity and kidnappings in the country, I will encourage all our priests to do the same. Though it looks and sounds funny, but this is a sad reality. Our government officials and security agencies needs to see this post. @moderator, pls this post is serious and deserves to be on the front page. |

This is an embrassment on our so called security agencies. Now even priests have to carry guns around to protect themselves. I just wonder whats is fate of those who can't afford a licensed weapon  |
