It was noon, the sun was way up in the sky; as all 100L students of Michael Okpara University filed into Achebe hall, stacked into the seats, rows and columns like sardines, and in few minutes the hall was heated up, Alas! We were leaving this hall oven baked. I don’t see the need of going to the beach for a tan, just dab your sunscreen and walk into Chinua Achebe Hall.
Invigilators at every nook and cranny, scanning the entire hall as the remaining free hands share the answer sheets, the question paper brought in a little bit late, the questions had to be changed and reprinted because it had leaked last night. Well not to our notice but we were going to suffer the same fate as the perpetrators.
The invigilator soon began sharing the question papers, then the hall started getting rowdy and noisy with people exchanging seats and others exclaiming “Jesus!!” as the question paper fell into their hands. The lecturer had tagged the question papers with three different symbols: Alpha α, Omega Ω, Beta β, each paper containing different questions. Chai! We go hear am today. If you don’t the answer you don’t know the answer, even your neighbor has more problems on his plate to worrying about.
