Nigerians partaking in mortgage should beware of sharp practices by some estate develooers who without restraint demand for fees like stamp duty, fence permits, land use charge, ground rent for their firms.
Such fees ought to be charged by and paid to governments directly by payers.
These estate developers demand these fees by menance threatening to dispossess buyers of the properties if the the fees are not paid to them.
Nigerians should beware of such estate developers and resist them by making such payments to the appropriate revenue office and obtain receipts.
