An inferno on Tuesday engulfed Ondo filing station in Nkpor junction, Anambra state.

According to our correspondence the inferno started around 4.30pm and razed the filing station till 9pm without any intervention by men of the fire service.

We are yet to ascertain the cause if the inferno but an eye witness said it was disastrous though no life was lost in the inferno.

All these fuel station owners are advised to have a comprehensive fire insurance cover for their business.

Also, if they can employ trained safety officers and provide them with the required fire fighting equipment like a stand-by fire fighting vehicles pending when the official fire service officers arrive; we know how they respond in Nigeria
