The Issue Of Hell And Judgment by dapsycool(m): 8:31pm On Nov 26, 2009
To start with, my parents are Christians. I believe in God, but something in my brain can not digest the issue of Hell and judgment, it makes no logical sense. Do not think I do not believe cos I'm scared. If it does exist, I'm sure almost everyone on earth will have breakfast, lunch and dinner there, including your so called men of God (Pastors and Imam) and you, yes I'm talking to you
If Hell is real, did Jesus fail in His mission? He said, "I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world" (John 12:47).
If Hell is real, and God sent Jesus to save people from it, can we really say that the will and pleasure of God has prospered in His hand, since, according to traditional theology, [b]only a few will ever be saved? (Isaiah 53:10, and 55:11). Why? do you want few of your children to succeed in life?
If Hell is real, and the devil is the one who deceives people into going there, isn't he ultimately the winner in the war for souls? After all, traditional interpretation of the Bible says that more people will end up in Hell than in Heaven. If so, how can we really call Satan the defeated enemy and Christ the victor?
"For men are not cast off by the Lord forever. Though He brings grief, he will show compassion, so great is His unfailing love. For He does not willingly bring affliction or grief to the children of men. (Lam 3:31-33), what is the purpose of hell?
If Hell is real, and lets say I make heaven and my other family goes to Hell, what is there to enjoy in Heaven, knowing that my Mom whom I love so much is burning somewhere. I'd rather join her there,
If Hell is real and all things were made for God's pleasure (Rev. 4:11), is it conceivable that God would derive pleasure from seeing those He created endlessly tortured? God says He takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked (Ez. 33:11).
I can't even imagine my worst enemy burning continuously, as an imperfect Human I know how I felt when thieves are burnt alive in Lagos, I can't stand it, I felt like crying as a kid, and the thought couldn't make me sleep.
I don't know what kinda God you serve that can withstand that
If Hell is a real place of endless torment, and God didn't want anyone to end up there, why didn't God just kill Adam and Eve and end the long terrible chain of misery that passed to their offspring before it began? After all, the Scriptures say that all died because of Adam. (Rom. 5:18). Like earth is not Hell for some people already, some of us are lucky, but believe me some people are living in "Hell" on earth not because they want to, they are just victims of circumstances I heard a popular Nigerian committed suicide after she was gang Molested, is she going to hell? (Your God must be so romantic )
If Hell is real, and God can save all men and deliver us from sin which is so difficult to avoid, but will not , is He infinite in goodness and mercy?
If Hell is real, since some people receive many chances to "get saved," some receive only a few chances and billions have never even received one chance, does that make God a respecter of persons? (Acts 10:34, James 3:17). After all, billions of people have been born and died on this earth without a chance to ever hear the name of Jesus, the "only name under heaven by which men may be saved."
If Hell is real, does that mean that motherly love is more powerful and enduring than God's love? Do you know of normal parents who would endlessly torment most of their kids? Why do we believe our heavenly Father, Who is millions of times more loving than all of us combined, could do such an evil, wicked thing?
If Hell is real, how would endless misery benefit the Almighty, as the inflictor? How would endless misery benefit the saints, as spectators? How would endless misery benefit the sinner, as the sufferer?
If Hell is real, how does the threat of endlessly torturing us convince us that God loves us and that we should love Him with all our heart, soul, mind and strength?
I got some of these questions online, and added mine. Can someone please answer those questions? Muslim or Christian. You might just be saving a soul if you answer clearly, cos I'm beginning to see the whole issue of religion as a scam God gave me brains to reason, and according to my brain, there are soooooooooo many lies in what Christianity and Islam is teaching [/b]

No one to answer my questions Too tough to comprehend

This is an easy one Bro!
Hades and Hell
In Greek mythology Hades is the King of the Dead. He is a son of the titans Cronus and Rhea, and brother to Zeus, Poseidon, Demeter, Hera and Hestia After Zeus had overthrown Cronus, the three brothers divided the world between them. Zeus ruled the heavens; Poseidon ruled the sea and Hades was left to rule the underworld. There, with his queen Persephone, who he abducted from the world above, he ruled the kingdom of the dead.
I ain't no brain washed christian, but even their New testament says this:
Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death
Ain't all who go to hell supposed to burn forever? so how come Hell and death are cast into the lake of Fire or Lava to be destroyed? If hell is destroyed how are people going to burn forever in it?
Confused brain washed Christians don't even know what their own book says about Hell,
Hell in the false new testament is a gross mistranslation of the Amharic(ancient hebrew) word sheol which means the grave or the pit which is dug when someone is about to be buried. The whole concept of Hell comes from greco roman mythology and grafted into christian religious dogma, for those interested in this topic, please look up the book Dante's inferno!
Psa 16:10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption
Does this mean that the Creator let His Holy One go to Hell?
The correct translation is this
Psa 16:10 For You will not leave me in sheol(the grave); neither will you suffer your Holy One to see corruption
Isa 26:19 Your dead shall live; Together with my dead body they shall arise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in dust; For your dew is like the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.
Isa 66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, says YAHAWAH.
All flesh shall come to worship The Creator,The Almighty Power (Allahayam) Who is YAHAWAH,
Hades abducts Persephone
Although Hades was a grim and pitiless god, unappeased by prayer or sacrifice, he was not an evil god; mostly he was concerned with increasing the number of his subjects, which he ruled justly. Those whose calling increased the number of his dead subjects were seen as welcome guests, the Erinnyes (the Furies) for example were particularly welcome. Once in his realm, he was disinclined to allow any of his subjects leave, a condition that even applied to his wife Persephone, who he allowed to visit with her mother Demeter during the Spring and Summer, provided she return to him in the Winter. One exception was the legend of Orpheus and Eurydice.
Hades may have been a remorseless god with a terrible temper, but he was not capricious. Indeed as Pluto (his Roman aspect) he was also known as the god of wealth and riches, because as crops were grown and precious metals mined from the earth, people believed them to have come from his kingdom below the ground. He also had a helmet that made the wearer invisible, given to him by the Cyclopes in appreciation of his help and prowess in battle, this he would lend to other gods and mortals when needed (as in the legend of Perseus).
Of all the Olympian gods, Hades is the one least liked, and except for Zeus, most other gods lived in fear and had an aversion of him. He was a frightening opponent in battle and had proved his worth during the ten-year war of Titanomachy, the battle of the Olympians versus the Titans in which Zeus had overthrown his father Cronus. His weapon of choice was a two-pronged fork, which he used to shatter anything in his way or not to his liking (much as Poseidon did with his trident). Hades rode into battle on a dark chariot drawn by four huge coal-black horses, an impressive sight striking fear into the hearts of his enemies. Although he was an Olympian, Hades spent most of the time in his own dark realm.
Hades rides into battle
In the real world, people avoided speaking his name lest they attracted his unwanted attention. In rituals they sacrificed black sheep, letting the blood of the sacrifice drip and seep into the earth, at the same time while praying to him, they would bang their hands on the ground so he would hear their devotions. Sacred to him was the narcissus plant (named after Narcissus, who in Greek mythology was a beautiful young man who had rejected the love of the nymph Echo, and was condemned to fall in love with his own reflection in a pool. So intense was his passion for himself he pined away, and in the place where he died a flower sprang up that was named after him), the species of which genus includes: daffodils, jonquils and narcissuses. The cypress is also sacred to him; branches of cypress were used as a symbol of mourning.
The underworld is often referred to as Hell, or ‘Hades’ in reference to his title as King of the dead. Hell was his place of residence, a place divided into two regions: Erebus, where the dead pass on to as soon as they die, and Tartarus a deeper region, the infernal abyss, a place of punishment for the wicked after death and where the Titans had been imprisoned. Hell the underworld of Hades was a dark, dim, subterranean place, inhabited by vague forms, shadows and numerous rivers.
Somewhere in the darkness of the underworld was the palace of Hades. It is often depicted as a many-gated, dark and gloomy place, set in the midst of shadowy fields and haunted landscapes. Cerberus a fierce three-headed, dragon-tailed dog, guards the gates. Inside however, it was redolent with the treasures of the earth and thronged with his guests. From here Hades ruled his kingdom while sitting on a throne made of ebony, the scepter and badge of his office was a staff, with which he drove unrepentant souls of the dead into the lower world of Tartarus. To get to the palace was a long and perilous journey crossing the many rivers.
On death, the soul of a person was lead by Hermes to the entrance of the underworld, there to be met by the aged Charon who runs the only ferry allowed the cross the rivers. Only those who could pay the fare (after death, coins and other treasures were often buried with the deceased for this purpose) would receive passage, those who couldn’t pay would be trapped between two worlds. The journey would begin on the Acheron (the river of woe), down the Cocytus (the river of lamentation), into the Lethe (the river of forgetfulness), through the Phlegethon (the river of fire) and on to the Styx (the river of hate) to arrive at the gates of the palace.
The soul then enters through the gates to be met by Cerberus, who allows all souls to enter, but none to leave. The soul then appears before a panel of three judges, Rhadamanthus, Minos, and Aeacus, who review the souls past life. Those who had been good were blessed and allowed to proceed into the Elysian Fields, a happy final resting place. Those who had not were damned and abolished to Tartarus, the infernal abyss, there to forever reside in torment. The legends of Sisyphus and Tantalus are examples of this.
Again ! The Hebrew word Sheol means the grave, this is what these Greco -Roman Christian translators changed to become Hell(from greek mythology)
When you have a chance look up the book Dante's Inferno. Read my brother!! Knowledge is power

My dear brothers and sisters, heaven is real so is hell fire, please do not be deceived by people who think they can use their peanut brain to detect errors in the bible.
@dapsycool i'll answer some of your questions.
=>Jesus did not fail in his mission, He accomplished it, He saved the world, it is left to us to accept Him as our Lord and Saviour.
=>If you refuse to accept Jesus then the devil is apparently the winner in the war for your soul.
=>The purpose of hell is to punish those who refuse to accept Jesus.
=>You must take note of this, God is not man, His ways are far beyond human knowledge.
=>God has infinite mercy on man that's why He has delayed the coming of Jesus so that His word can be spread throughout all the earth.
Finally i'm happy your brain didn't tell you there are lies in the Bible. I agree with you that there are lies in christianity because not every pastor preaches what the Bible says. The Bible is infallible, read it, obey it and grow in faith and i assure you that your eternity is secure with Jesus.
God Bless You All.

It's a good thing people are beginning to reason.
Although the reasonings might not be perfect or there yet, there is sure hope for progress.
The misinformation about hell has got to be unraveled and the truth be told.
Re: The Issue Of Hell And Judgment by CrazyMan(m): 10:35pm On Nov 27, 2009
I believe that heaven and hell is real, and I also believe that Jesus didn't fail his mission.
But the only question I have to ask is about the creation.
We all know that Satat was once an angle of light. He tried to overthrow God but failed and was casted out of heaven.
Now here's my question: knowing fully well that Satan would work endlessly to see the downfall of man beause of the way he was casted out of heaven, and secondly, of all the places Satan and his agents could have been casted, God casted them to the earth.
Now the bible tells us that God created man in his own image and likeness, blessed them and placed them on the same earth where his worst enemy Satan dwells; and gave them a commandment to avoid a particular tree (why plant such a tree in the first place if you want it to be avoided).
Unfortunately, Satan succeeded in decieving them, and God drove them out of the garden, cursed them and made their life miserable.
Now tell me, is it fair
Re: The Issue Of Hell And Judgment by ttalks(m): 12:42pm On Nov 28, 2009
The only thing I have to say here is in regard to the words in bold above; the ones with regard to Satan.
Satan was never an angel of light nor an angel of God. Also, he never tried to overthrow God at any point in time.
He was created a devil and has always been a devil.
Re: The Issue Of Hell And Judgment by Yisraylite(m): 5:59pm On Nov 28, 2009
HaSatan in the ancient hebrew means man's adversary. The Almighty Creator created and appointed satan to this office to serve as HIS messenger of destruction, and I must say that satan carries out all YAHAWAH'S commands perfectly. Don't buy the twisted fairytales contained in the Vatican created false New Testament about there being a war in Heaven and Satan being kicked out. Christianity claims to get its roots from the Original Testament (so called Old Testament) yet there is no such record or evidence of any war in heaven in the Original testament.
Rather than blame Satan why don't people take responsibility for the choices they make, after all it is man who hurts his fellow man by
stealing, Molesting, murdering, starting wars, lying, committing adultery, whoring and spiritual fornications etc, When a man decides to go steal and murders in the process, what's that got do with satan? it is that man who has become a devil and a demon, one who has refused to abide by the Laws of love given by the Creator
Lev 19:17 'You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him.
Lev 19:18 You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: AYAH (I AM) YAHAWAH.
Isa 45:7 I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create calamity; I, YAHAWAH, do all these things.'
Deu 32:39 'Now see that I, even I , Am He, And there is no God (EL) with Me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; Nor is there any who can deliver from My hand
Psa 136:5 To Him Who by wisdom made the heavens, For His mercy endures forever
Psa 102:25 Of old You laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the work of Your hands
Isa 44:24 Thus says YAHAWAH, your Redeemer, And He who formed you from the womb: "I AM YAHAWAH, Who makes all things, Who stretches out the heavens all alone, Who spreads abroad the earth by Myself
I believe that heaven and hell is real, and I also believe that Jesus didn't fail his mission.
I guess in your world Satan is stronger than your God , Who told you that Satan was in the Garden? this is another christian dogma, This is the brain washing I keep talking about, please read:
Gen 3:1 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which YAHAWAH had made. And he said to the woman, "Has YAHAWAH indeed said, 'You shall not eat of every tree of the garden'?"
The Serpent here simply means a deceiver, kinda like these preachers running around today deceiving people while having their hands in peoples pockets, selling them false hope. have you ever heard someone being called a snake? or someone having a forked tongue? this is a person whose words or speach can not be trusted!
Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field
Torah's definition of Beast
Dan 7:3 And four great beasts came up from the sea, each different from the other.
Dan 7:17 'Those great beasts, which are four, are four kings which arise out of the earth.
These are Rulers of great political/religious kingdoms of the Earth
Did you get that! This was a deceiver king of a now lawless nation who came up to deceive and steal that which YAHAWAH had given Adam and Eve dominion over.
Based on its usage darkness refers lawlessness while light refers to AYAH'S (IAM) Law
Gen 1:2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of YAHAWAH was hovering over the face of the waters
Without form means without structure, Law and order gives every society form or structure
Void depending on its usage means without the Law or light of YAHAWAH
Psa 119:126 It is time for You to act, O YAHAWAH, For they have regarded Your law as void.
Darkness(blackness): Yer(Jer) 4:28 For this shall the earth mourn, And the heavens above be black, Because I have spoken. I have purposed and will not relent, Nor will I turn back from it
Psa 119:105 Your Law is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path
For the commandment is a lamp, And the law a light; Reproofs of instruction are the way of life
Adam was created by YAHAWAH as His new Light bearer in world that had gone dark(become Lawless). His Priest of Righteousness in a world that had now become void of light with its inhabitants living in darkness. It's kings and Rulers now lawless without the perfect Law of Love!
Remember it was from these people that Cain later took a wife from! This proves that there were other people on the earth when Adam and Eve were brought forth
Gen 4:14 Surely You have driven me out this day from the face of the ground; I shall be hidden from Your face; I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond on the earth, and it will happen [that] anyone who finds me will kill me
Who were these people whom Cain was referring to that would kill him if they found him? If Adam, Eve, Cain & Abel were the only ones one the Earth?
Gen 4:15 And YAHAWAH said to him, "Therefore, whoever kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold." And YAHAWAH set a mark on Cain, lest anyone finding him should kill him
Again who are these people? They sure aren't Adam, Eve or dead Abel!
Gen 4:16 Then Cain went out from the presence of YAHAWAH and dwelt in the land of Nod on the east of Eden.
Gen 4:17 And Cain knew his wife, and she conceived and bore Enoch. And he built a city, and called the name of the city after the name of his son—Enoch
Who is this wife Cain married? I heard ignorant Christians say Cain married his Sister. YAHAWAH does not permit Inbreeding, it is against His Laws
Lev 20:17 'If a man takes his sister, his father's daughter or his mother's daughter, and sees her unclothedness and she sees his unclothedness, it [is] a wicked thing. And they shall be cut off in the sight of their people. He has uncovered his sister's unclothedness. He shall bear his guilt
It was the Ruler of these lawless people that came up to deceive Adam & Eve in order to take the possession and Authority YAHAWAH had bestowed upon His Priest
Please read further:
Eze 28:12 "Son of man, take up a lamentation for the king of Tyre, and say to him, 'Thus says YAHAWAH: "You [were] the seal of perfection, Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty
Eze 28:13 You were in Eden, the garden of YAHAWAH; Every precious stone [was] your covering: The sardius, topaz, and diamond, Beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes Was prepared for you on the day you were created
Eze 28:15 You [were] perfect in your ways from the day you were created, Till iniquity was found in you.
I hope you got that! Ruler of Tyre was in AYAH'S garden not Satan!
Eze 27:2 "Now, son of man, take up a lamentation for Tyre,
Eze 27:3 and say to Tyre, 'You who are situated at the entrance of the sea, merchant of the peoples on many coastlands, thus says YAHAWAH: "O Tyre, you have said, 'I [am] perfect in beauty.'
Eze 27:4 Your borders [are] in the midst of the seas. Your builders have perfected your beauty
Eze 27:11 Men of Arvad with your army [were] on your walls [all] around, And the men of Gammad were in your towers; They hung their shields on your walls [all] around; They made your beauty perfect
Eze 27:23 Haran, Canneh, Eden, the merchants of Sheba, Assyria, [and] Chilmad [were] your merchants.
Eze 28:2 "Son of man, say to the prince of Tyre, 'Thus says the YAHAWAH: "Because your heart [is] lifted up, And you say, 'I [am] a god, I sit [in] the seat of gods, In the midst of the seas,' Yet you [are] a man, and not a god, Though you set your heart as the heart of a god
Is Satan a Man? Every scripture here refers to the King or prince of Tyre who was a man(Eze 28:2)
It was He who came up to deceive Adam and Eve, This man and deceiver said 'I [am] a god, I sit [in] the seat of gods, and promised Eve the same, to become a god
Gen 3:5 For YAHAWAH knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like a God, knowing good and evil.
Let me stop for now!
