Keywords: Keywords are the words or phrases that people will search for to get to your blog post. The topic you choose to write will determine the keywords that will be included. Your goal should be to create massively relevant content that solves a problem or offer advice to any problem – people search to get answers.

1. Post title: Your post title is more or less the foundation of your blog post. You should include your keywords in your title as it’s a determining factor of your post relevance by search engine’s and your potential readers.

2. Meta Description: Meta description is simply ‘information about information’. The little description that shows up under your post title and URL when your post comes up on the search. This description gives search engines and your reader’s information about your blog post’s content.

3. URL/Permalink: Your URL is one of the first things search engines look out for so it is necessary to always have your keyword in your URL.

4. Optimise your images: Ever wondered how images pop up on the google image search? Through proper image SEO optimisation – If you optimise your images for SEO, they may come up in image searches and will also be beneficial your SEO on Pinterest. Three things you should keep in mind are: image alt tags, image title and image file name. You should also name your pictures with your keywords.

5. Post content: The best way to increase your SEO it to write original content that provides value to your readers consistently...emphasis on consistently. You should structure your posts to have a logical flow from beginning, middle to end. And most importantly do not forget to include your keywords in the post.

* Make sure your blog is mobile friendly aka responsive
