Sir I intend traveling with a child from Lagos to JFK in August to spend 9 days or 12 days, is it advisable to buy tickets now , as after checking today saw fare has increased compared to last week

The thing is most Airlines have packages and promos. Like now Etihad and Emirates have Promos. E.g Etihad Airways has promos of up to 20% discount with Last ticket issue date after Reservation being 15 June, 2017. Emirates Airways with promos also with last ticket issue date after reservation at 16 June, 2017.

The trick is to watch out for promos, its getting close to festive season. We all know air tickets are expensive when booked a long time before departure and also expensive when booked too soon to the departure date.

The secret, watch out for promos and try to find a balance.

ok I would start by saying yes you can buy yourself, but I won't advice you buy online, go to their office at the airport or offline and buy. But I know for sure tickets from agents are always cheaper than airlines, unless it's a promotional ticket which comes with some clauses
