Even if they issued the 5000 naira note it would not really change anything... currency notes don't affect inflation. The problem is Nigeria is not earning enough dollar$ so production costs for almost everything has increased since we import a lot of things for production and consumption.

Those mostly, those that sells by the road sells at #10 each: they have to make extra for the hawking and the ice they use. But it's #5 in some neighbourhood like mine, since they sell around the house.
