Am beginning to see a trend here on NL, where for every negative story that comes on, y'áll got to check names first then bash each other.

For a generation we thought we'd put our hope in to rescue our failing continent, it's really disappointing. Rather than harness our youthful strength and try make ourselves/environment great, we prefer to lavish same on fruitless ventures

When our leaders want to steal, they don't do it by their tribe or ethnicity. No! at that instance, they think as one and steal. Has anyone of you thought about that?

I can maybe understand it a bit when a white person decides to be prejudiced against a black man due to the pigmentation of his skin, but the most sickening form of discrimination is TRIBALISM. why? cos we've got mostly same complexion, same country and probably school or work together.

We've all got issues. I have lived and associated with guys and ladies from the North, east, west and south and can rightly say that NOT all northerners are Islamic jihadist or illiterate, not all easterners are dubious, not all westerners are loose, not all southerners are militants. No single tribe has monopoly over these negative traits as you all would readily ascribe.

Just maybe you guys need to mingle more, see places, leave the shores of your locality and see how other people within and outside your state, country or continent, think. There are a lot more beauty in every individual. Racism or tribalism was made out of convenience by some people to feel superior over others.

We are all human beings, believe it or not.

Police have arrested a suspect in Abia State allegedly involved in repackaging of expired food products.

Described as a worrisome act, the police said Nnenna Sunday, 28, has perfected the act of using chemicals to erase batch production numbers and expiry dates on snacks...

It is an act that endangers the lives of the buyers of the expired products, but yet reinforces the need for everyone to check well before buying any food product.

“My Hands Are Clean”

After her arrest, she claimed to be innocent and obeying the orders of her boss.

“I did not do anything. They have been doing it before I came. I am not the first or the second. I do not understand this type of temptation.

“My hands are clean. Police saw us wiping out the expiry dates on the snacks and it is my oga (boss) that asked me to do it because that is how he has been doing it before he employed me,” the suspect said.


She further claimed to have joined the company recently and do not know the boss very well, but many onlookers at the scene questioned what her conscience had told her while she engaged in the act.

The arrest, according to the police was part of its determination to continue the implementation of the anti-crime strategies which are proactive in nature and geared towards ensuring a safe and secured environment for inhabitant of Abia State.

The Abia State Police Command that made the arrest reiterated its readiness to sustain the fight against heinous criminal activities by improving on the existing security strategies which include visibility policing, raiding of criminal hideouts, intelligence led policing amongst many others.
