Enough of these excuses, we know all the damage jona and pdp did that is why we voted buhari and apc to change Things, if they are telling us that the damage is beyond repair then apc is not what we need.
They shd shut up and keep working.

It takes very little time to destroy but much time to rebuild. One of the rebuilding efforts is the widely condemned ongoing gradual recovery of loots from state treasury and the anti-corruption fight. Apart from that, which miracle are u expecting?

An now, are they saving? No. Who is to be blame, those politicians that were there when I was a kid and they are still there. Just like those made men at the glass house.. If Gambia with population of 1.8m people is a country why is Biafra with a 51m lively people still living in the zoo

Yes. This is the truth!

Ameachi did not want to hear the word save! He even sued FG just to divide excess crude funds.

Today he is a hero angry

Why dint they force OBJ to share the money then? GEJ is too soft that's just it...

Why? The news actually helps to show that Nigeria does not work as a nation.

If the body language of Jonathan indicated prudency, Amaechi and the govs will not have a choice but to comply, but you all know what happened to the portion belonged to thr FG

Then what happened to the FG share?

Remember, FG share of the loot is 58%.

36 states + 774 LGA shared 42%.

We must stop hiding from the truth.

The last time there was a sharp drop in oil prices was in 2008. The drop lasted barely over 6 months and it cost Nigeria $20billion of its reserves to ensure that the economy wasnt affected. The current drop in oil prices has lasted close to 3 years, I wonder how much of savings would have really saved us. On the contrary, I think aggressive investments in key infrastructure, specifically power infrastructure and refineries is what would have made a lot of difference.

Exactly! How can you be saving when you have great infrastructure deficit. It doesn't make sense

Okonjo and Sanusi advised saving.

Jonathan and Governors agreed.

Later, the same savings started reducing (about $7billions) without state and Lgs being in the picture.

That called for suspicion that goodluck is not sincere.

So, instead of the FG enjoying the savings meant for all, they demanded ALL ( fg, state, LGs) must have their own share.
Since Goodluck can not manage its own appetite, he is forced to share across board to satisfy everybody.

IF HE DOES NOT TOUCH THE RESERVES, STATE WOULD HAVE NO LEGAL GROUND AGAINST HIM.

A leader is one by being able to stand wise and prudent in such situation.

Obi said the truth in part, but won't say the whole for politics.

I've been saying it for sometime now, ours is a wasted generation.Wasted in terms of the embarrassment of resources at our mercy. And I look at the term generation in a medium sense-1960 to date.Since the 1980s people who have found themselves in public offices, have been fortuitous. At best, they've been accidents of history. They had no business there whatsoever.
In a country blessed with plenty of resource, the disconnect between these resources and prosperity is the abject failure of leadership, whose poster boys are the leaders who stumbled into various offices, from the presidency to the council level.
Our case is that of 'what could have been?'

thank God you said you are an Ibo man and not Igbo. Back to the topic well I'm happy for peter obi statement. GEJ gave too much power to governors that's why the were dictating to him on how to run Nigeria. Obj really checked this governors during his tenure undecided

this your suggestion is like advising a football team to buy only strikers without mid fielders and defenders.

nigeria needed to do both savings and infrastructural investments then and even more necessarily now.
