Hello Lawyers in the house, if a man is attacked by 3 men... the 3 men were throwing blows at the other guy just because he had an argument with one of them... is the battery a jail-able offence... I mean does it carry a prison sentence no matter how small it is?

Please I just need a straight-forward answer... the victim that fought the 3 men has reported to the police, so we are still trying to get the main guy who called 2 of his friends to beat up the victim (my cousin).

I tried searching [http://www.nigeria-law.org/Criminal%20Code%20Act-PartV.htm] for answer but I wasn't seeing a straight-forward answer to my question.

I have gotten my answer, it is at section 351 - section 355. It carries a maximum prison sentence of 3 years in prison and a minimum of 1 year in prison.
