getostar:OKs unlike u educated illiterates I do my research before commenting according to Section 110 of the Criminal Code appears to be more suitable for purpose. The Section provides: 110. Any person who- (1) not being a person serving in any of the armed forces of Nigeria, wears the uniform or any part of the uniform of such forces, or any dress having the appearance or bearing any of the regimental or other distinctive marks of such uniforms; or (2) not being a person holding any office or authority under the Government of Nigeria or of any part thereof, wears any uniform or distinctive badge or mark or carries any token calculated to convey the impression that such person holds any office or authority under the government; is guilty of an offence and is liable to imprisonment for one month, or to a fine of ten naira, unless he proves that he had the permission of the President or of the Governor of a State to wear such uniform or dress, badge or mark or to carry such token: pls never quote me again if u don't have something reasonable to say. thank you |

henryanna36: It might have been the only thing he had to wear, may even be a gift from someone else, did they even consider he may not know it's an infringement of some sort? And the passersby couldn't interfere, they were snapping pics and watching cinema, all signs pointing to One Direction....dead country! |

And FAYOSE The governor of ekiti state has been wearing military outfit and even moving freely with out any brutalised from the law enforcement agencies. Really In nigeria the laws are only for the POOR. According to the Nigerian Constitution and the military code of conducts, the president, governors, senators and prominent public office holders have absolute rights to wear the army uniform, como or fully dressed in it... That explains the fayose case, however what they had done to that poor nigga is really inhumane and unjust, he was only supposed to be tried and fined and not beaten. And considering that those were even military police MP, im disappointed. Nigeria still have a long way to go. An American army would salute and smile at u for wearing its camo, cos it means to him that u love what hes doing for you as a citizen that he protects |

kabrud:get it clear, their is different of what is written in the constitution and how you want it to be or how you assume it should be. A governor been the CSO of a state is not part of the already written nigeria constitution, the president is the only civilian person that is the commander in chief of the armed forces of the federal republic of Nigeria |

if am not mistaken, the military came out sometime last year and warned citizens/individuals against wearing the military clothing so I believe that the crippled guy was wrong to have worn that cloth, but my annoyance is in the way the military treated the guy, they should have arrested him and taken him to their court instead of brutalizing the guy in any manner or fashion. #justsaying |

Let us be constructive in passing judgment, it is against the rules and ethics of the military for any civilians to wear camouflage, which is a symbol of the military personal, haven't said that, the two military men are unprofessional, cowards, unmannered and unkind, you don't brutalize a normal human being in such manner and not to talk of a disable that they do give special treatment abroad, the two military man should be suspended or sack because they ought to have take it easy with the cripple and pity his or her condition, to know what leads to why putting on an army camouflage. |

yarimo: The president is the C-in-C, but that apart, he is the number 1 security officer of the country. I will advise you to stop arguing along this line. Who is the CSO of a state? The commissioner of police? Get it now, the overall head of any organisation is the head of all other departments within that organisation and same applies to the office of the governor, local govt chairman etc. Who do u hold responsible whenever there is security breach in a state? Apart from the fed govt, who else declares curfew in a state? Bro, just apply Google and stop this. |
