The executive Governor of Anambra state, Chief Willie Obiano in the company of Obi of Onitsha, HRM. Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Ugochukwu Achebe on thursday visited the scene of the fire outbrake in Onitsha.

The fire outbreak came as a result of sparks from a Petrol Tanker,which later led to the explosion of the Petrol tanker loaded with fuel. The fire engulfed the environment. Fire service were later seen,battling to put out the fire.

Surrounding buildings were badly destroyed and no report of loss of lives were recorded as at the time of this broadcast.

Very good gesture by our working governor. But it shouldn't end here. A commission of enquiry should be set up to ascertain the remote and immediate causes of this fire incident which destroyed hundreds of millions of naira worth of property and all culprits should be severely punished. That petrol station was given approval by former governor Peter Obi to be built in that densely populated residential area against every norm of city planning and i think Peter Obi should be invited first to answer questions. I maintain that Peter Obi is a crooked fellow who ran Anambra state like a crooked enterprise. Little wonder nemesis has caught up with him and he has been decimated politically.
