During one of Google interviews, one of the interviewers asked the question below:

From what floor, when dropped would an egg least likely to break.


First person to get the answer gets a 500 airtime of his or her choice.

Ground floor?

The highest floor. Due to the less availability of gravity.

Ground floor . . .

In space because there's no gravity

Would break from any floor

To a lay man it would drop from any floor, but since its a google question that answer is too easy. The number of floors should be in the question.

From the same floor its dropped

The egg may crack from any level above 6 inches, but it's shell may still have enough structural integrity to house its contents.

For a total breakdown of the shell structure however, I would say being dropped from the first floor is assured, while a drop from the ground floor may or may not do it.

There in lies the difference.
