Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, on Tuesday described the Sen Ahmed Makarfi’s gruop of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as a gathering of “lawless political marabouts and desperate gamblers.”
He made the remark while reacting to the communique issued by the group at the end of its meeting yesterday in Abuja.

Following the affirmation of Sheriff as the National Chairman of the party by a Port Harcourt Appeal Court on Friday, the Makarfi’s faction scheduled an emergency meeting for yesterday.

Reacting to the faction’s communiqué, Okorocha, in a statement issued by his Political Adviser, Professor Nnamdi Obiaraeri, in Owerri, the state capital advised Makarfi to respect the Appeal Court judgement.

Noting that Makarfi’s faction reserved the Constitutional right to appeal the ruling at the Supreme Court, Okorcha said the former Kaduna State Governor and his faithful should not heat up the polity or do anything that would undermine the county’s democracy.

“We concede the constitutional right of any person dissatisfied with the judgement of the Court of Appeal to approach the Supreme Court for a final adjudication and determination of the matter or matters in contention but we view with grave concern the apparent disregard for a valid and subsisting judgement of the Court of Appeal by Senator Makarfi and his clique in the PDP national leadership impasse.

Rochas shld better be guided on this issue or he may get his fingers burnt once again,this his new found love for PDP or is he preparing to decamp to PDP.
The last time he played with words,Obiano the governor of Anambra state taught him a big lesson,only God knows what Fayose 'the Lion of Ekiti'will do to him and of course 'field marshal' Wike,may give him 'Rivers treatment'(he can ask Amaechi)! This one is just occupying the post of the governor these days. He just there because his terms is still running.. He has finished everything left in his brain. No capability for greater output is left so rather than just sit a and look, he once in a while throws his hefty self into the fray and get entangled in a slew of unnecessary bickering... Can somebody help me; What is the relationship between an Apc governor and a faction of PDP?
