It is rate R18 and you have to pay for a south African cable...If you don't want your kids to watch.. there is parental setting that will keep them off the channels rated 18. If you like sign 10000000 signatures. it won't change anything in fact you are promoting the whole reality game. 2000 people did the audition.. Next one we would have like 10 million people in audition. They are making cool money from it all.. Just imagine there sponsors.. lol.. naso.com

A non-governmental organization, called CitizenGO, is said to currently be garnering votes online to terminate the airing of popular reality TV show, Big Brother Naija.

Reports have it the group sent their petition to policy makers, the National Broadcasting Commission, the Presidency and the public and are aiming to get at least 5,000 signatures, they have about 3,160 signatures.

Their petition reads:

“Big Brother Nigeria is a corruption of TV Reality shows. The Nigerian public is complaining about the moral perversity in the House of the Big Brother Nigeria. In one episode last two weeks or so, the inmates were shown openly kissing and caressing one another. This is a celebration of obscenity, eroticism and idleness. More importantly, it is a big mockery of Nigerian culture and tradition. Since the inmates are Nigerians, they should have been projecting the Nigerian cultural heritage. But instead of doing that, they are bastardizing it. The biggest tragedy of the on-going Big Brother Nigeria is that our children are also glued to the TV screen watching it. Children are our future. Therefore we should protect them from lewd exposure, which might prevent their growth into free, independent and well-developed citizens. The NBC must live up to its bidding as a body charged with controlling, monitoring, regulating the electronic media and monitoring of satellite transmission in Nigeria. Our TV stations cannot become dumping grounds for all sorts of immoral programs.”

Big Brother Naija is rated 18!!! This message is always announced. So CitizenGo should GO and hold parents whose wards that are under 18 are glued to the screen RESPONSIBLE. Retards...

I am writing this Unapologetically, without favour:

Why are Nigerians making a big fuss over nothing?. Personally I am a fan of Big Brother Naija, because watching especially the Sunday eviction show practically off sets the week's stress caressing my body and mind. Besides the show is rated (18) meaning its exclusively for adults.
.
Moreover, there is nothing they do, people don't do. OK let me ask
Have you not kissed before or seen someone being kissed before?
Have you not seen someone UnCloth before?
Don't you UnCloth to dress yourself?
.
However, if your feeble minds can't handle it,
I suggest you stick to your control panel or remote control and like a friend said, tune to Emmanuel TV, or you can await the return of your president while keeping yourself busy with CNN and stop disturbing us with frivolous posts.

Yea. We have brains, scholars, talents all wasting without obvious rewards and some group of hopeless, dumb youths are gathered and rewarded for soft porn No! no!! no!!! This gotta stop.
What happens to the most innovative, intelligent, diligent, productive etc winning such prizes?

Tomorrow same persons supporting such will wonder why their daughters turn out to be porn stars. Why won't they when they realize there's an easy route to success.

The organisers or owners of this NGO are not serious.

Anybody watching BBN is above 18yrs of age.

DSTV decoders have parental guidance on it. Therefore, parents/guardians can just lock the BBN channel when they're not around so as to prevent Children from watching the program.

My fear is that foooooolish NBC may ban this program from being aired in Naija just because of a stoooopid NGO

BBN is rated 18... It is not for the weak minds, it is not broadcasted on national TV, nobody has the right to stop it. I don't think anybody has the right to tell a grown man or woman how to live their lives... What is wrong with these hypocrytes? There are others shows we watch on TV like game of thrones, let them ask NBC to stop broadcasting.

And pls what do they mean by portraying Nigeria culture ,I don't get it. The petition they are signing is it Nigeria culture? The computer they used to type this rubbish is it Nigeria culture? The clothes they are wearing is it Nigeria culture? Why don't they dress in leaves since that's what our forefathers wore. The TV where they watch the show is it Nigeria culture? The Internet where they post this rubbish is it Nigeria culture?

Come to think of it. I'm sure lots of the people signing this petition went to the cinema to see 50 shades of grey. Bunch of hypocrites.

I'M JUST THINKING OUT LOUD.

THE BIG BROTHER NAIJA SHOW.

There's a notorious programme currently going on called THE BIG BROTHER NAIJA. The winner of this notorious show is expected to walk away with a whopping N25 million and a breathtaking car. All that is required to win this show is to be Live with a bunch of fellow crazy, irresponsible people, do all sorts of immoral things, and, viola, you're the winner.

Next thing, you're called a celebrity, winning big advertisement contracts and becoming the face of multinational companies.

If only there could be an educating version of this programme. If only they could house some intelligent people in like manner and make them compete for similar prizes. But, no! Our people do not encourage sanity. Our society promotes evil over good, indecency over decency, immorality over morality, and ungodliness over godliness.

The best in Mathematics competitions will go home with either a carton of cowbell milk or Indomie noodles, ridiculous stipends and laughable prizes. Yet these morons in BBN will earn millions for coming to suck breasts, speak thrash, display nudity, and get under the sheets on International TVs.

Our rich individuals, companies and corporate organisations will spend huge sums of money sponsoring dirty shows like BBN and Beauty Pageants where they will enthrone satanic activities, display nudity, molest our under aged girls, and make them win on bottom power rather than on real beauty and brains. Can anyone forget the Anambra State born Chidinma Okeke saga in a hurry?

What a wasted generation! What a time! How do we raise, nurture and produce the next Chike Obis, Chinua Achebes, Wole Soyinkas, Cyril stover, Apostle olatunde Adekunle, and yes, P.O.C. Akorefes? What foundation are we laying for coming generations? What message of hope and legacy are we leaving behind? What epistle are we sending to the future to testify to it that the past made some level of contributions. Is Immorality the legacy we really want to hand down to the next generation? Are we not losing our minds?

Let all people of goodwill come together and raise alarm against this dirty programme. Let us all with one voice and in unison say, "We've had enough of this nonsense." Let us blow the trumpet in Zion and declare war on these encouragers of evil tendencies and promoters of these demonic programmes targeted at our highly impressionable youths. We should see that this programme is replaced with a more intelligent and educative programme.

Nigeria is broke morally and financially, yet the sponsors are wasting millions of Naira on a highly immoral programme. Please what is the lesson that one can learn from this Big Brother show? What can our YOUTHS pick from it? I know this kind of write up doesn't get many shares. But if we keep quiet, then we are silent conspirators.

So share. Share until a thought process is provoked in the heart of everyone and we can stand up to say, Enough of this nonsense."

SAY NO TO IMMORALITY

Same hypocrites who strangle diccks and mutilate pussies are the same brands trying to stop BBN from giving others joy. Do they care to know that the number of people who love the show out-numbers these hypocrites ? DSTV is not allowed to show us Porn, now this small small kissing and bj dem wan stop am. The lack of sex brings violence. Ask married men and women who dont have adequate sex in their marriage. Na constant fight. Allow Nigerians access to great sexx, especially the Amajiris, dem go drop AK47 immediately and start working harder to conquer more women.
