let me explain. Persons A, B, C and D goes to the immigration office and insist on the official price and are ready to wait in line. Then all of a sudden, a morally bankrupt person F comes, offers the dude double the cost to jump the line, and the person behind the desk accepts, then after a while, it becomes the norm. the person behind the desk knws the sweet taste of the extra charge. He is not afraid either of the consequences if Persons A to D report, because he kicks the money back upstairs. And so the cycle continues.

its a very sad situation. My recommended solution tho is a critical mass of people that are ready to do things right, whatever the cost might be. i think even 5 out of every ten people wld do.

One has double the number of pages than the other.
For frequent travelers it is better to get the 64-page one because of the immigration stamps (entry and exit) when travelling.

I did mine for 35k 64pages and it only took me 3 days to get it. Its called express processing.

We are fighting corruption.

I paid N35000 this January 2017 to collect 64 pages through an agent; though I still queue for data capture and another whole day of queue for collection.

even though I didn't use the passport eventually, I actually paid N18k in 2013 @ Lokoja (32-page).


The most interesting thing was that I got it in 4 hours.
