Our mission as given by the Lord Jesus Christ is to make disciples of all nations. As a Christian leader, when you look at the people you lead, what do you really see? Do you see men burning for God or an avenue to make money? Do you see agents of transformation or just numbers to boost your ego?
The Lord rebuked the teachers of the law and pharisees, who traveled land and see to win a convert, only to make him twice a child of hell as they themselves were. It is not sufficient to have crowds in your church and run 10 services, what are you making out of the people the Lord has given you? Crowds stay for bread that perishes while disciples stay for the word of eternal life. So, what are you raising in your church, crowds or disciples? The world today is in a deep mess largely because of the want of disciples- by that I mean disciplined followers of Christ.
Let the crowds come but let them not remain just that - crowds, rather let's make disciples out of them. Man and woman of God, prepare very well for your message with much prayer, meditation and revelation, as if it's the only one you'll ever have to preach. More importantly, disciple your people to make other disciples for God.
Finally, if you've been a "Christian" for long but nobody is learning Christ through you, then you need to repent and do the first works. What can help us now is to have more men and women who are custom-made after Christ, they are called disciples. Be one and make another._PEACE!
