I think many people aren't patient enough to learn the rudimentary parts of 3D before diving in to animation. Reason I'm saying so is because we do not particularly have a well structured 3D body in our country, so we can't just learn one part and neglect the others, or major in one part only to give little or no quality attention to the minor parts. Whereas, to some degree, the minor parts are the more necessary. If you get what I mean.
