As you can see these people don't believe in the Buhari they sold to Nigerians, they elected the man not because they saw a man of vision or principles nor because they were patriotic but simply because of primordial tribal sentiments that he dies in office and their tribeman sworn in as President. Where are the "Sai Baba" crew now?

Since Buhari fell sick/incapacitated and Osibanjo became Acting President the Afonjas have seized their support for Buhari, they no longer defend him. They've started showing their hand again, this time by accrediting every positives to Osibanjo while blaming Buhari for incompetence, something they didn't agree to in the past. Buhari isn't dead yet but they're already projecting Osibanjo as the best thing after sliced bread - A capable, educated and a better President to be. They have started their media hyping of Osibanjo, praising him to high heavens, same thing they did with Buhari before his incompetence was exposed to the world.

Afonjas have "CHANGED". What a treacherous set!!!

It takes no effort to be a good person. It is in fact the easiest thing to do. But Nigeria's past leaders have always wanted to live a miserable life and drag us along with them.

I've been watching Osinbanjo and I agree with the OP; he's simply too good to be true.

God bless Pastor Osinbanjo in his attemt to unite Nigeria deeply devided by Buhari's cluelessness.

Is a lie joor. We know the Buhari we sold out. He is the only one that can do the job then and now. Even Osinbajo is corrupt to an extent, if you want to know, go and recheck his Assets declaration sheets. So stop saying what you don't know.

I am sure politicians that have their eye on 2019 are having sleepless nights already with the amount of Goodwill this man is receiving.

This may just pave the way for technocrats to come in and rule and not lifelong politicians with nothing to offer.

This man is diplomatic to the core. His reaction to the protest? "We have heard you loud and clear"...the cabals response: stage a counter protest and use violence to suppress the voice of the people.

Impromptu riot in Edo, listen to the people rather than use force and tear gas.

What was the response of the other Governor that students came to meet over closure of their school? He insisted that they "beg him". Compare and contrast the response

Lets applaud whats good so other forceful minded politicians can learn.

I get the gist of what you're saying.

He is like a breath of fresh air on the political landscape of Nigeria.

Nigerians denied Awolowo the opportunity to rule this country to greatness in the 80s

This is another opportunity before us.

We would be stupid indeed if this man is not made substantive president and also voted in for the next two terms after.

May God continue to guide Osinbajo to make the right choices for this nation.
Which Awolowo are u talking about? is it the coward and betrayal?

Typical Nairaland illiterates commenting on threads they neither read nor understood.

If you had read the post, you'd realize that being 'Nigerian' in this context refers to things the average Nigerian politicians do to the masses. The writer implies that he deviated from the norm and showed real concern for the plight of the people.

Where is it in the constitution that presidency has been zoned?
you want to see it in black and white in the constitution before you understand the politics at play in Nigeria? If so,why did almost all northerners and south westerners turn against GEJ and practically made his government uncomfortable?
They said then it was the tenure of Yaradua that GEJ was doing. What has changed now? Is it no more their tenure because it's Osibanjo?

Your writeup is of great interest to me and all the people you labbelled (Afonja).I have never seen in my life where two wrongs make a right. You probably have to know that to eat with a devil you need a long spoon, you have to also give to ceaser what belongs to ceaser and to God what belong to God.God have a way of doing his things, should buhari have lost out in 2015 election, the country might have been besieged by all types of unrest, death and its likes. He who want to be the master must first be a servant, the yoruba's knows how this game is played.GEJ was the president by providence/luck or destiny the whole lot of south never witnessed unrest, why pull it up when he is no more in power.Whatever calculation made for PMB and PYO is not for anybody to perceived. It is God's own will.If a school cert holder can be the president pls what stops a professor of law,a qualified lawyer to not measured up.Nigerians should stop this PHD (pull him down) syndrome and embrace what the Lord has done.
