Why is the plot 100x50 ? A plot of land should be 120x60. Why are land investors short changed in some part of Nigeria. Isn't there a that specify
what the standard size for a plot of land should be. Or it's up to omo omile based on how they feel.

It is very abnormal the way and manner people come on nairaland to canvass for busi ness only to reap their fellow countrymen and women. i am from Owerri and know the current trend in land transactions in and around Owerri being a lawyer myself. Owerri land is measured 100 x 60. again Egbu is a satellite town outside Owerri and the cost of land is not exactly upto the N2million asking prize. I am thinking that the advertiser might rightly be an agent and not the owner.

Before you comment try and investigate and make sure you're passing the right information, I am from Imo State and a property owner there in owerri and thus the poster is right,

Egbu Road ( from Chukwuma nwaoha - CBN goes for 6m-15million ( CBN is 120x60 and empty land there goes for 3-5m while 2/3/5 bed goes for 10-15m) Chukwuma nwaoha FHousing goes 6-10m and empty plot if any goes for 3-4.5-5m, FH plot is like 50x60 but not close to 50x100)

From CBN/Somachi - Jehovah Jiri Anglican Church( Egbu Road) - goes for 3.5-5m and some parts of Christina hospital coming from Trans-Egbu and Uratta Housing and plots measurements there are 100x50ft sometimes not up to 100x50ft, there is nothing like 60 x100 ft unless you are buying a family land and there is no govt land there as those lands are originally owned by Egbu and Uratta people. Christiana Hospital from Egbu Road is 1.6m-3m depending.
