They r jst like every other file xtensn its just that dey are created using an app like WinRar. A rar file is created when u 'compress either a exe,mp3,pdf etc file. After d compressn is done using d above app it gives d files d .rar extensn. So u can only open d .rar file using apps like WinRar. ok? |

i don't think win zip opens rar files u should download win rar and i think there's a program called 7zip it should be able to open rar files |

Though WinRAR used to be free. I certainly didn't pay for the copy I have on my PC, although I have to say I installed this in 2004, Any 7-zip sounds pretty good and it handles the most popular archive formats on Windows system - zip and rar. |

In this situation I usually use-recovery file modified rar archive,because tool is quite reliable and can too recover all versions of sfx and RAR archives.At the end program is free as far as I know. |
