The Consular General quickly alerted Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Fatai Owoseni, who deployed Bomb Squad to the Embassy.

The suspected bomb, an unidentified bag, was put beside a car at the Embassy. The Bomb Squad deployed to the Embassy, recovered the suspected bag out of the place.

On opening it, it was discovered that the bag contained medical emergency items.The Embassy thanked the Command for its swift response.

if not for the activities of BH, someone could've stolen that bag.

I think this is more to this than meets eye.

1: This incident is a research and reconnaissance operation
2: Test reaction time of security personnel and lockdown procedures
3: Expose hidden agents among normal folks who would have automatically initiated a well-rehearsed response
4: Reveal the best plan for a successful attack on the embassy.

The car bomb attack at the UN building in Abuja 2011 might have had similar recon exercises performed before the actual attack. People SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING, DO SOMETHING

Bomb squad was swiftly deployed cos it was American consulate. Had it been it was Togo or Niger republic or Benin republic consulate, d police commissioner will tell them dat their vehicles don't v fuel!
