Skills in certificate forgery, fighting and throwing chairs, lieing to the populace and telling them what they want to hear, constitutional manipulations, legal intimidation (you will need services of over 30 SAN in your payroll).

Those skills don't come easily. You will get better with years of practice.

You need to pursue your study to Ph.D level. Do a PGDE and register with Teacher Registration Council of Nigeria if you wish to lecture in a COE.

Start by contesting the post of councillor and get certificate of returns.... then proceed to chairmanship post....... until you re well known. If start by following books and paper, you no go get money.

Depends really on what you want to do after graduation.

You could do your masters or PhD in any related field.

Professional courses like NIM, CIPM can not be over looked.

Also, join a political group and build your self and image from the grassroots.

Try to start building your political connections! Both at grass root, state and national level! Network and hob nob with the great and the dangerous....you shall need both sets of individuals at one point in time in your career!

Also start engaging with seasoned and experienced political academics through forums such as linkedin, facebook etc. Improve your knowledge about administration, the consitution, diplomacy, creative writing and oratory!


As for extra degrees look towards courses in strategic studies, or foreign affairs, security, political development or african politics! This will help you land a good placement or a decent job or as an assistant to a big fish! Most importantly network and SELL YOUR ABILITIES at every given opportunity!
