Quite a number of those ships have been decommissioned cuz they're no longer serviceable

Nice but not befitting for a country that claims to be giant of Africa.
Basic stuffs just for surveillance and defence.
Not sophisticated enough for invasion or ability to defend and attack at the same time.

What's tha business?

It might surprise you to learn that Nigeria is only West African nation with a meaningful navy. So we are relatively strong in terms of tge relative threat.

The nation I currently going through so many other challenges including an insurgency in an arid region so spending hundreds of millions of dollars on more sophisticated warships would not be prudent

Some of this war ship is not in perfect condition , I have sailed with NNS aradu during naval week sometimes ago, the ship stop working on the high sea. NNS aradu is the biggest war ship ,
