The Enugu State Command of the Nigeria police Force has assured members of the public that the command will stop at nothing in ensuring that there is safety and security in Enugu and environs.

This was disclosed by the Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Cp Danmallam Mohammed on March 24 while reacting to the massive recoveries of 221 wrapped parcels of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp.

They were recovered by the operatives of the command which was concealed in Camry car.

It was gathered that operatives of the command on intensive patrol received a distress call from members of the public on the 9 mile/Opi expressway, Enugu where hoodlums on sighting the operatives abandoned their Camry car with registration number Lagos FKJ 43 DB, loaded with exhibits and jumped into the bush.

A full scale investigation had since begun into the matter with a view to unmasking the suspected hoodlums.
