Despite baby Evlyn battling againts the odds for 4 weeks, the child died in her parents' arms in Martin House Hospice in Wetherby, York. The baby has underdeveloped brain which was completely smooth, narrow airways in her nose and lungs and a narrow aorta. The parents Charlotte and Attila stayed at the hospice for 12 days while Evlyn was kept in a refrigerated ‘cuddle cot’. The first-time parents were allowed to take her out for walks – before they took Evlyn home for four days before her funeral.
