Should The Internet Be Considered A Fundamental Human Right? by code9(m): 5:28pm On Apr 10, 2017
The Internet has turned our existence upside down. It has revolutionized communications, to the extent that it is now our preferred medium of everyday communication. ... Unlike today, one just click with your smartphone, iPad, laptop or computers you can access and know anything through the help of the internet.
One can hardly think without consulting google or other search engines. People are even getting more acquainted with virtual friends than having real relationships. The internet has become a defacto standard in our lives.

My question is this: has the internet not impacted so much to be considered a fundamental human right? Should we have to pay to gain access to the internet? Is putting a price tag on internet not synonymous to blocking right to freedom of information?

your opinion please.

By definition, A fundamental human right is a right that you can make litigation for if not given access to. I support making it free for people but then making it a fundamental human right does not help our current situation here in Nigeria as it will lead to lots of lawsuits and unfulfilled promises. It will just be another avenue for our corrupt leaders to loot fund if the idea is even feasible sef.
