Please I need your views and ideas about banks and how much they pay I.T students. Thanks

Just locate the bank's headquarter and inquire if dey accept I.T. students.If dey do,then ask 4 d application process.

If you know someone in GTB, preferably the Operations Head, HR, Manager _it's as simple as telling him or her you want to do IT. This is the easiest way to get the IT placement. Yes, they actually pay 40k. Every bulk teller in GTB nationwide is an IT. Then few in customer service.

If you don't know anyone, walk into any branch and politely request to see the Operations Head. If they have space _they will consider you. They actually prefer Poly students, you guys get to stay longer (1year).

I think this should apply to any other bank that accepts IT students.

IT recruitment is now decentralised in GTB (i.e) handled by individual branches/HOPs.

Considering the fact that the HR doesn't know you personally, he may not sign guarantor form for you. The HOP might not sign too _lest you steal and they come for him/her. Though there is provision for (2)external guarantors, internal is easier to confirm, thus preferable. So, they tend to take more ITs based on internal referrals. They also take randomly o, when other options have been exhausted.

I don't know how else you can contact him dear, but your best bet now is to walk into any branch and approach the HOP. If there is available vacancy and your grade/appearance is impressive, you might/will be called.
