Bad habit (s) like overspending, addiction, too much of beer, name it. They are numerous and I know you want to stop and take control. This write-up will guide you and it’s more easier than you thought. Call it mind hack or whatever, following this steps religiously will help you.

​1. Say enough! Stop the bad habit from progressing

Before you successfully clean yourself from the habits, you must get out of it. The first step to quit from a habit is to simply saying “enough of this sh*t”, If you must, then shout it literally. You must stop doing the bad habit, that’s your first step.

2. Make the choice to drop the bad habit and adopt a new one

Now you have stopped, you will still be dangling on what next. It’s worst off staying empty that’s why you need a new identity. The forces of nature promised to “save you” and make you happier because you are trying to help it restore balance to the universe by your singular act. When dropping an old habit, adopt a new one to take its place and fill the void. Happiness researcher Gretchen Rubin says that it is much easier to replace old habits with new habits after a change in life. Adopt your new activity and identity continuously so it becomes the new you.

3. Justify and offer a motive for your actions

Adopt motivating books like the Bible and the Koran as the guide to living a meaningful life. Study of these archives of knowledge can enlighten, strengthen, transform you spiritually and intellectually and help you quit habits or control yourself more.

The third step on this journey is; You must rationalize the reason of your decision to drop the bad habit and adopt a new identity. Doing this ethically and logically helps you understand the new person you want to become and the importance of sticking to the script. Now you have adopted a positive activity the next step will be to change your understanding.

4. Assimilate your new habit
Understanding that you have new habit(s) allows you to establish an emotional connection with your new self.

This positive emotional bond with your inner self drive peaceful forces of nature to you and you become happy for what you have achieved. This final step to dropping a bad habit will not only lead you to assimilate and understand the person you want to become, but it will fully incorporate the change within you. Hence, you can channel your emotions which plays a big role in our decisions to your new found self.
