What he or our biased press would never say is that blocking of the roads to take revenge on any innocent Hausa/Fulani passengers along such route has been a routine practice adopted by the local youths.

They block the roads, seek out and kill any Hausa/Fulani Muslim in sight - that was what was apparently was going on, but which he or anyone would want to publicly admit to because it amount to exposing the contribution of the local communities to the conflict - only the alleged killings by one side seems to make the news.

Very scary thought. I've been concerned about this for a long time but I guess because Nigeria is so large, and there are large industrial sized farms nationwide, people are complacent. In addition, Nigerians are given to such exaggerations, it's difficult atimes to get a realistic sense of things.

Tell your kinsmen to level up with modernised world where ranches are the order of the day. Even the cows trekking from Mali to Nigeria will thank them if they do.

As for ranches; well that will not solve the problem; because some will take to it while others will not, for the obvious reason that not every lifestyle is suitable to all; even the modernised world you were talking about: USA, Canada, Australia etc, recognise the need to make room for reserves to preserve certain cultural lifestyles of their ppl i.e. the American Indians, the Inuits (Eskimos), the Aborigines respectively.
