Before I start, know that what works for Mr. A might not be applicable to Mr. B. Strict training and religious upbringing might help some kids grow up to be successful while for others, it might have side effects in the future.

I would like to profer suggestions based on my experiences. First some factors can make people with similar history go astray. They include: brutal punishment, confined teenage hood, improper care, constant reprimanding of the child's action and unbalanced feeding.

EFFECT: when free from these hindrances, we tend to turn to crimes,bad company,promiscuity,unhealthy acts etc due to naivety or the search for succour.

MY SOLUTIONS: to the issue of confined teenagehood, children should be allowed to mingle with others. Getting to know and accommodating your child's friends paradoxically puts them under check. Praise in stead of spite should come out of our mouths often. Proper attention can prevent them from seeking attention elsewhere.

JARA: keep your children engaged and not idle at home. An idle mind is the devil's workshop. If he/she is done with school or there is a break in between, take them to a computer,tailoring or a catering school. Keeping them at home doesn't shield them enough. With the sexual revolution/internet, idle teens are incessantly engaging in phone intimacy, gambling, mischief and pornography.
