Are there a lot of people in Nigeria who can speak the creole? (Is it just called 'creole'?)

Is it spoken throughout the country or only in a particular state?

I am very interested in the creole. smiley

Our 'Creole' (well, kind of) in Nigeria is called Pidgin English, and it is spoken by MILLIONS of Nigerians.
Some even speak it as a first language in some regions of the country.

We don't speak Jamaican type of creole. Most Nigerians speak pidgin English (which is peculiar). Just like the above poster said, many speak it as their first language.
I wish to know why you have such interest in Creole.
