This is Nigeria. Police don't investigate before arresting. They must have thought money would come out of it probably the guy must have refused and agreed the court option. By right, the lady must tender substantial evidence to prove the guy committed such crime and if it being found that she colluded with the police so as to punish they guy. Then she must be made to face the consequences. I have witnessed a false accusations of a lady claiming a man rapped her after so much questions it's came out she just wanted to get cash from the guy. When police came they didn't investigate or ask any questions all they did was made an attempt to arrest the man if not for people who resisted and ask for evidence

Lol...i understand the punishment for rape is imprisonment, which I believe will be applied in this case if the suspect is proven guilty.

Myself, and others I believe who recommended for outright removal only did that to make it humorous, and not actually what should be done.
