The U.S. Embassy in Abuja is seeking to employ a suitable and qualified candidate for
the Chauffeur/Clerk position in the Regional Affairs Office. (RAO).

BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:
The incumbent serves as a Chauffeur, Expeditor and performs administrative tasks in the
Regional Affairs Office.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
NOTE: All applicants MUST address each required qualification listed below with
specific information supporting each item. Failure to do so may result in a determination
that the applicant is not qualified.
1. Completion of Secondary School education is required.
2. Minimum of three (3) years driving experience, which includes safety and emergency
preparedness, administrative functions and local procurement, is required.
3. Level III (Good working knowledge) Speaking /Reading/Writing in English is
required. Language proficiency will be tested.
4. Knowledge of the local area roads, government facilities, resident Embassies and
Consulates, restaurants and shops is required.
5. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required.
6. Good computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel) are required. Must have valid
Nigerian driver’s license.
