I made and paid for a hotel reservation on Wakanow for a hotel in Lagos. On getting to the hotel I am told the booking doesn't exist. I spend more than 15mins on the phone to Wakanow trying to rectify this and nobody picks up.

I just want to put this out there for anyone not to book through this scam of a website so as not experience the same disappointment.

Nawa all this people.. Just relax ot might be owing to a staff negligence...

Awww.....I know how much it hurts when you think your booking has been confirmed and you are denied access on arrival. Until your post I have never doubted wakanow though I know Jumia Travels is more reliable. If you have evidence of payment and it has been confirmed by the hotel that your reservation wasn't made,then expect a refund.

Post evidence of payment or hotel booking confirmation to validate your claims. If you cannot then you and some of the posters above are part of a gang trying to run wakanow down. Since Wakanow came into business some years ago other organisations without the right business strategy have ventured into the business and scammed people. I am not a wakanow staff but from my travellings they seem more credible than the lot who don't know what they are doing.

I have heard back from Wakanow. They apologized for the screw up and have refunded my money.

Yes, but when you put jovago it redirects to Jumia. They would forever be called Jovago in my heart, fingers and keyboard..........
