Just for the record, Bantu languages are a part of Niger-Congo languages, but just a single branch of them.

Sure thing. I also did a zoom in on Eastern Africa because it is quite interesting.

Igbo and Yoruba are both Volta-Niger branches of the Niger-Congo languages (languages like Swahili and Zulu are Bantu branches of Niger-Congo languages), whereas Hausa is the Chadic branch of Afro-Asiatic languages and happens to be the most widely spoken Chadic language - other Afro-Asiatic languages include Arabic, Hebrew and Aramaic (Semitic), Somali and Oromo (Cushitic branch), Berber languages (Berber branch) and Ancient Egyptian (Egyptian branch).

A lot of East Africa up to 10'000 years ago was inhabited by people who are believed to have spoken Cushitic languages like Somalian, but after Bantu speaking tribes came there the main languages in that region became Bantu (there are still Cushitic languages right next door).

Niger-Congo Languages (Including Bantu languages):

Afro-Asiatic Languages (Egyptian is also a branch but it's not spoken anymore which is why it's not on this map - It's most recent descendant, Coptic, is only used by the Coptic church and enthusiasts in Egypt):
