Every part of Nigeria is responsible for the stereotypes that Nigeria's known for. The Southern 1/2 has its share like
-drug trafficking
-militancy
-pollution
-kidnapping
The Nothern 1/2 also has its share like
-Religious intolerance
-Boko Haram/Terrorism
-Polio
-Extreme poverty
-Illiteracy

Nonetheless, these are just stereotypes and aren't representative of most Nigerians.

No one thinks of boko haram when he sees nigerians. Most people dont even know there are muslims in Nigeria. BTW, you just listed the bad stereotypes, even in terms of good stereotypes and when people think of Nigerian culture and customs they think nollywood, davido, wizkid fufu, eba, pidgin

None of that applies to us. When it comes to the nigerian image, we are obsolete.

terrorism has recently been associated with Nigerians especially since Chibok kidnappings. Yes a lot of the popular culture image is from the south. Also, there are more southerners than northerners in the West.

Again, we're not talking about negatives.

I agree with the latter. Most, not a lot, say 95% of both image and population.
