I was thinking their is a Nisab for calculating Zakah? I mean a certain minimum amount saved for a year! You are qualified to pay Zakaat only if you have N1,022,000.00 saved without touching it for a year. This amount varies according to gold or silver value and monetery flunctuations! Not everyone is obligatory to pay Zakaah! 1 Like |

pls is the 2.5% calculated from the amount in an account when first zakat becomes eligible or after a year of the amount in that account. for example, someone's accounts hits 1.5M and now its 3.5 should the zakat payment be based on 2.5% of 1.5 or 2.5% of 3.5 ? |
