As an aspirant of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University (popularly known as Unizik) you surely must be aware that the Unizik 2017 admission list has been released, right?

Well, you can now confirm your admission on JAMB official portal using the guidelines outlined in this post.

This is to inform all aspirants of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) that the school authorities have officially sent to JAMB, the names of all candidates who were successfully admitted into the institution for 2017/18 session.

How to Access and Confirm Your Unizik Admission Status on JAMB Portal

i. All candidates can confirm their unizik admission status on jamb portal by Clicking Here

ii. Then type in your JAMB Registration Number.

iii. Then click on “Check Admission Status” to view your admission details.

UNIZIK 2017/2018 Aspirants Should Take Note of This
Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (UNIZIK ) authorities and management hereby informs all members of the general public especially the 2017/2018 aspirants that wish to be admitted into the institution for the 2017/2018 academic session and Post UTME candidates as well as their parents and guardians that:
1) Of the 31, 955 candidates who scored 200 and above in the 2017/2018 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Unified Tertiary Examinations (UTME) and chose Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka as their first choice institution, 26,732 candidates registered for the post-UTME screening exercise for admissions into Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka for the 2017/2018 session.
2) The screening exercise was carried out in the school premises.
3) 17,935 candidates passed the screening test with a minimum score of 40%. 309 candidates did not show up for the test while 118 candidates were disqualified for failure to follow the instructions for the Computer Based Test (CBT).
4) 393 result s were initially withheld on suspicion of malpractices. On further scrutiny, 271 of these result s have been confirmed as cases involving malpractices and continue to be withheld for further investigation. The remaining 122 result s have been released.

5) The Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka
does not require any additional payments in respect of admission. Any request made by anyone for payment for assistance for admission is fraudulent.

Formally, the final score supposed to be gotten from your jamb score and waec/neco grade points but it is no more like that this year because post utme is back.

You don’t need to worry because I am going to show you 2017/2018 marking system of unizik for admission. After checking your own, you will be able to know your final score then compare/calculate it with the admission cut off mark.

The mode of admission this year is through Jamb and Post Utme score. It is no more based on grading system like last year. Now we are going to see how it is been calculated.

Let’s assume that you scored 40% in the PUtme exercise, you will have to multiply it by 4 which will give you 160. Now you will have to add it to your jamb score e.g. 220. The sum will give 380. You will now have to wait for departmental cut off mark

Mathematically,

Jamb Score = 220

Post Utme Score = 40%

Utme Score = 40*4 = 160

Aggregate Score = 220+160 = 380

Now, there is a need to unizik admission cut off mark here to know if this mark will fetch you admission or not.

....the departmental cut off marks are over 400 marks. That's why I think it'll be divided by two.

School official said they do not publish departmental cutoff mark and that admission list is out but not published yet. I think Unizik want to do their usual wayo IN this year's admission for those that has long leg or money will be favoured with admission
