He was likely being driven and probably sat in the front seat with that bulky stature, and no seat belt, where the impact was great.

High speed on a bend/corner and raining or on a seriously wet surface. The area could be prone to heavy water flow, or erosion diversion hence the wide and deep drainage which unfortunately had no covers or walkway made on top. Avoidable and sad.

Shut up. May I inform you that truck is very very safe and properly designed. From the wreckage, you could see the front crumple zones did an excellent job, the airbags did deployed excellently. I feel the occupants weren't buckled up.

My thought exactly.

Whether he was at the driver seat or the front passenger, I really can see any significant impact that would have cost his life.
There is a possibility he might have been injured by the glass (appears to be some blood on the door) but even at that i know such cars come with tempered glass that shatter into a million pieces in impact, thereby preventing any sharp edge from forming which could cause significant injury.

RIP to him though.

Each time I travel and come back, I always give thanks to God Almighty. Looking at this seemingly minor accident, who would believe that someone would die in it?

Airbags are very useful when combined with Seatbelts. They have been proven to decrease the mortality rate by as much as 60% especially by preventing hard object hitting occupants head, neck, face, chests, abdominal regions, thoracic region. For the airvags to effectively deploy and save occupants, the occupants must sit at least 25cm from the front airbags, must buckle up their seatbelts, and sit uprightly and children below 12 must seat on a child seat in the rear passenger zone.
In some instances, airbag are useless, such as running under a tall barrier such as under a truck, or running very high speeds which would crumple the whole vehicle into a mass of metallic ball.

Talking about crumple zone, which brand introduced crumple zone in Automotive industry?, "Mercedes-Benz" Toyota is just imitating other people's technology of course you know that Imitation can never give you all the quality. See as the front seat pullout of its position, tell me why will the passenger not heat the dashboard?? Mercedes Benz seat can never pullout of position. Toyota is nothing but fiber

We aren't talking about brand wars pls. Take a chill pill. We are talking if this crash fatality was a direct result of manufacturing defect or occupants negligence to safety or natural occurrence.

May I inform you, Toyota has one of the lowest crash fatality rates. Go read the stats.
