Yesterday, the Nigerian police reportedly dispersed some peaceful protesters forcefully in Calabar, Cross-River. According to reports, the University of Calabar UNICAL students were protesting over the alleged absconding of the money promised them by the governor of Cross River State, Prof. Ben Ayade by the Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Mr. Asu Okang - before they were attacked with teargas and also allegedly shot at by the security operatives.

The incident reportedly happened at Murtala Mohammed Highway Calabar by Transcorp Hotel as they gathered at the U. J. Esuene stadium during the Children’s Day programme.

At least, three students were reported to have been shot with various degrees of injuries by the security operatives...

Sri Lanka
No wonder you're finding it difficult to break into the music scene. That country might be part of the setback you're currently experiencing.

Do well to visit Nigeria to rejuvenate your talent (most especially your vocal chords)

Please don't take it personal, that's just the way I see Sri Lanka.

Regards bro.

I wonder why Nigerian police cant apply sense in discharging their duties....

They treat we citizen like they were not like us...

Why not use a rubber bullet to scare the protester away...
Or was it illegal to organize a peaceful protest?

Ayam not understanding

Naija is a jungle

I always tell people in Nigeria to always avoid police as much as they can. Never argue with them. They are legalised criminals and killers in uniform. Animals in uniform

So much lawlessness!

When will laws be made to stop the use of live ammunition on harmless protesters

Oh! I just remembered!

Our Lawmakers really don't care about us!
They're busy stacking up money and piling up wealth, while the citizens who should hold them accountable are busy chanting their praise songs, making themselves puppets to the politicians and causing unnecessary division among the citizens - people who actually should come together and hold the lawmakers Accountable.

Just like a na'ked woman playing the game of chess, the game is real but, the distraction is there.
