LAGOS NPOWER VOLUNTEERS, ARE WE READY SOMETHING BIG IS COMING!!! Copied
Re: N-Power Lagos Thread by AutosBay(m): 5:57am On Mar 17, 2018
Good evening;
Report reaching us says that some unscrupulous element in some LGEA in Lagos are already trying to remove some volunteers names recommended by the HM of some school thereby replacing them with their people.
This is inhuman and dubious act and we will not tolerate this from this so called officials who want to use their offices to undermine the process of permanenting these diligent volunteers who have tirelessly contribute their quota to development of state through their place of primary assignment.
We will fight on behalf of these volunteers. Enough of injustice and nepotism, at least let's do the right thing for ones in this country. We are going to officially report this case to the appropriate authority to look into this matter and to make sure some measures are put in place to permanent the right volunteers. Such measure will include;
- Volunteers to present their Npower certificate to prove that they are beneficiaries of this program.
- The list must be scrutinize by the focal person.
- Attestation letter must be written by the Head of their PPA.
The right thing must be done for ones in this state, we will not tolerate this, if it means protesting against such immoral act, we will do it. Personally, I won't rest until they do the needful cos we on our own 're investigating this matter and we shall surely come out with findings on those LG/officials involved in this illicit act and the perpetrators will not go unpunished.

N-Power: Drama as pro-Buhari, Fayose supporters clash in Ekiti
March 17, 2018
Josiah Oluwole
Premium Times
Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose
The N-power scheme of the federal government became a political rallying point on Saturday as beneficiaries, split into pro- governor Ayo Fayose and pro-President Muhammadu Buhari camps, clashed.
About 3,000 beneficiaries used the accreditation exercise which held at the AB Event Center, Ado Ekiti, to vent their different political leanings despite the fact that the scheme was powered by the APC-led government.
While a faction staged a rally supporting the Ekiti State deputy governor, Kolapo Olusola, who is of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the July 14 election, the other faction demonstrated in support for the All Progressives Congress(APC) and President Buhari.
In what appeared to be premeditated, both groups thronged the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital in the early hours of the morning holding placards with inscriptions in support of either the president or the governor.
The placards, which identified them with the group they belonged, either promoted President Buhari, appreciating his gesture for the scheme, or showed support for Mr. Fayose and his deputy, Olusola Eleka.
The situation almost degenerated into a fight but for the timely intervention of security operatives.
The beneficiaries later marched from the front of hospital in Adebayo area of Ado Ekiti to the AB event centre.
Another drama occurred at the accreditation centre when officials of N-Power wanted to prevent those loyal to Mr. Fayose from entering the venue, but could not because they were overwhelmed by the crowd.
Ajibade Segun, a pro-Fayose N-Power beneficiary, explained the reason for rally.
“A few months ago, Mr. Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ayodele Fayose invited us to the government house and promised those of us who are N-Power beneficiaries in Ekiti that we would get permanent employment from the state government,” he said.
“This is why we are happy and we are now coming out to campaign for the Deputy governor Olusola Kolapo Eleka. We are here supporting the continuity agenda of his Excellency Dr. Peter Ayodele Fayose and supporting Olusola Eleka for governor in July 14.
“To the president we are saying that we don’t want just a temporary relief in the name of N-Power from massive unemployment in Nigeria, we want permanent employment. We also want the number of beneficiaries of the N-Power in Ekiti to be more than what we have presently. But most
importantly, we want a permanent job like the governor has promised to give a good number of us.”
The PDP in Ekiti is currently embroiled in a controversy over the Mr. Fayose’s endorsement of his deputy to take over from him as the governor of the state, a stance many other aspirants are unhappy with.
Speaking on behalf of the pro- Buhari group, Adeosun Peter, said they were out to show “appreciation for what the President had done for them”.
“I want the people of Nigeria to know that we are not campaigning for Fayose or Eleka. It is Buhari that we know because he is the one who is feeding us. We have the banners bearing the image of Buhari and we are thanking him for this gesture,” he said.
“Thirty thousand naira for each of the beneficiaries every month is not ‘a small money’. In 12 months, we know what that money amounts to,” he added.
“The beneficiaries of N-power in Ekiti in this first tranche are 3,400, and 8,337 will benefit in the second tranche, those of us here now are more than 3,000 that have come for accreditation today.”

N-POWER CAMPAIGN DRAMA IN EKITI
Ekiti 2018: Drama as N-Power beneficiaries rally support for Fayose’s deputy, berates Fayemi’s attempt to politicize scheme
The forthcoming July 14 governorship poll in Ekiti State has taken an interesting dimension as many beneficiaries of the federal government N-Power scheme in the State today, walked the streets of Ado Ekiti to express their support for the Deputy Governor, Prof. Olusola Kolapo Eleka ahead of the election.
The N-Power beneficiaries, who were initially invited to a walk from Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti to a popular event centre at Adebayo area of the town where a programme to be attended by Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Kayode Fayemi was scheduled, were led by former Senior Special Assistant to Fayemi on Mobilisation, Hon. Tope Osatoyinbo.
As early as 8:30am on Saturday, beneficiaries of the N-Power who were over 3,000 in number gathered in front of the Ekiti State Teaching Hospital along Adebayo Road, for the Pro-Buhari and Pro-Fayose rallies.
While a greater number of the N-Power beneficiaries displayed placards campaigning for Governor Ayodele Fayose and his deputy, Prof Kolapo Olusola, a few others displayed two banners supporting President Buhari.
Security men were however on ground to ensure that the walk was without rancor.
Drama however occurred at a popular event centre where accreditation for the programme was done when officials of N-Power tried to prevent those loyal to Governor Fayose from entering the venue, but they were overwhelmed by the huge crowd in support of Fayose and they eventually forced their way in while the security officials ensured there was no exchange of physical assaults from either party.
Explaining why the beneficiaries loyal to Fayose joined in the rally, Ajibade Segun, a beneficiary who was among the Pro-Fayose and Prof Olusola beneficiaries said: "A few months ago, Mr. Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ayodele Fayose invited us to the government house and promised those of us who are N-Power beneficiaries in Ekiti that we would get permanent employment from the state government. This is why we are happy and we are now coming out to campaign for the Deputy Governor Olusola Kolapo.
“We are here supporting the continuity agenda of Governor Fayose and supporting Prof Olusola for governor in July 14.
"To the president we are saying that we don't want just a temporary relief in the name of N-Power from massive unemployment in Nigeria, we want permanent employment.
“We also want the number of beneficiaries of the N-Power in Ekiti to be more than what we have presently. But most importantly, we want a permanent job like the governor has promised to give a good number of us.
“While we appreciate the gesture of the President, we want to make it clear that it is not right for former Governor Fayemi to turn the scheme to a political instrument as he tried to do today because we know that today’s event was organized to boast his political image.
“Fayemi’s former Senior Special Assistant on Mobilization, Tope Osatoyinbo is here leading the walk and we ask, is he an official of N-Power? We have demonstrated to him today that he cannot use N-Power to deceive Ekiti people, we are for Govenor Fayose and his continuity agenda,” he said.

N-Power: Fayose scamming youths – APC blasts Ekiti governor
Published on March 18, 2018
By Wale Odunsi
The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ekiti has warned Governor Ayodele Fayose against deceiving the beneficiaries of the Federal Government’s N-Power Scheme in the state.
The party accused him of assembling youths in the Government House, making promises of stipends and other conveniences, telling them what to do, and creating an impression that he had better primary assignments
for them different from what has been stipulated in the N-Power protocol.
In a statement in Ado-Ekiti, the Publicity Secretary of the APC, Taiwo Olatunbosun, scoffed at the governor, accusing him of fraud in his attempt to hijack the Federal Government’s project to his advantage.
Olatunbosun accused Fayose of double standard, noting that while the governor spent days and nights criticising all development programmes initiated by President Muhammadu Buhari, “he is fraudulently hijacking
the N-Power programme he does not wish well to his advantage”. He said: “It is amusing that a governor who believes that he is in government for self-enrichment and who has never hidden his anti-people conducts by refusing to encourage job-creation schemes and always wishing Buhari’s administration bad luck in its welfare programmes could
suddenly attempt to hijack N-Power to his advantage.”
Listing the governor’s anti-people conducts since assumption of office, Olatunbosun explained: “Fayose is the first governor in the history of this state that made unprecedented numbers of 1,464 youths jobless in just one and half years in office.
“He closed down Ecobank, making 11 of its staff from Ekiti State to lose their jobs while he severed working relationship with Zenith Bank that has several Ekiti people as workers for acting professionally in not aiding crime in Fayose’s alleged involvement in arms cash-for-election fraud in the state.
“He sacked over 500 youths in Ekiti State Peace Corps while reducing youths in EKSMA (Dagrin) from 800 to 100 making 700 jobless, including reduction in the numbers of street sweepers and cutting their pay by half while he also sacked 100 youths engaged in Youth in Commercial Agriculture Development scheme.
“Fayose cannot sack 200 youths in the House of Assembly, cancel 400 jobs at EKSU, cancel 30,000 appointments made by former Governor Kayode Fayemi, reverse promotions for head-teachers, sack permanent secretaries, sack street sweepers, reduce running grants for civil servants.
“He cannot cut monarchs’ salaries by half while increasing his personal security vote to N250m, including refusing to institute job creation schemes, and now he is grandstanding, using Federal Government’s empowerment scheme to create an impression that he is a friend of the masses.”
Warning the governor against issuing out misleading directives to the youth, including misinforming the public on the N-Power scheme, Olatunbosun urged the youth to await orders from the Federal Government on their primary assignments, saying details of their job schedules and benefit packages would soon be made public by the N-Power management team.
He added that the Federal Government will soon announce the second phase of the programme, promising that hundreds of Ekiti youths will also benefit from the life-lifting scheme.

2019: Npower Will Continue If You Re-Elect APC, Fayemi Tells
Beneficiaries
March 19, 2018
Published by Popoola Yaqoub
Mines and Steel Development Minister, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has charged Nigerian youths and beneficiaries of N-Power programme of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led Federal Government to re-elect President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019 General Elections.
The Minister, who made the appeal on Ado-Ekiti during first anniversary of the scheme in the state, said the youths empowerment was a priority to APC government.
The programme held at the popular AB foundation hall, Housing Road was attended by hundreds of youths who were singing Buhari’s praises A total number of 3,600 beneficiaries in Ekiti joined the Npower scheme in 2016 while 8,000 were admitted into the scheme in 2017.
He said: “Because of what our President has done, I want every youth in Nigeria to support this APC government in 2019.
“In 2019 general election, we want all youths in Nigeria to support APC and all youths in Ekiti to support APC in the 2018 governorship election.”
Speaking further, Fayemi disclosed that said the scheme would continue as long as the APC remains in power.
Fayemi, however, urged the youths who are yet to get their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to do so and vote APC in the forthcoming elections to have such schemes sustained.
He said: “The vision and mission of Mr. President is to assure you of a better future, you must support the President to sustain the scheme.
“The President is in love with the young people and that is why he will continue to empower you. Make sure you collect your PVCs.
“If you want this programme to continue, vote wisely and vote intelligently to ensure that APC continues at the centre and ensure that APC returns to power (in Ekiti) this year so that programmes like this continue.”
Beneficiaries who testified that the scheme had changed their lives included Feyisayo Falegan, Adesoji Adedeji and Oluseye Odetola said they had used the monthly stipends to set up businesses for themselves calling for sustenance of the scheme.
Some of the beneficiaries also urged the Federal Government transform the scheme to permanent jobs for them.

SENATOR JUMBO PAYMENT VS NPOWER VOLUNTEERS STIPEND,
A REFLECTION OF THE STATE OF THE NATION PART (1)
WRITTEN BY;
Kolade Joseph "Henri"
The recent disclosure of the Senator's take home by Senator Sani and sometime last year Professor Saggey disclosed that Nigeria senators take home 29million naira monthly and over 3billion per year with about 2.5million naira basic salary.
I was listening to an interview of one of our Senators trying to justify this huge amount of money share among themselves.
I lamented and cried within me for this country of ours.
Let me leave 200million constituency project,13.5million sitting allowance and pick only #1million newspaper allowance to write on.
You can check the breakdown of their jumbo payment.
Now I decide to write on the least of their allowances which is newspaper allowance vis-à-vis a stipend paid for a graduate (Npower volunteer) for a period of two years.
A Senator newspaper allowance is N1million per year compared to Npower volunteer stipend for two year which is N720,000(30'000 X 24months)
A country that we claim to belong to us all.
If newspaper allowance can take 1million for a year and a graduate is given N720,000 for the period of two years and what we hear is that we have been empowered to be self reliance after the two years of the insult and embarrassment and the so called graduates hail and hope for better days ahead with their mouth closed, then our COMMON SENSE AND SANITY should be questioned.
Graduates with age and responsibilities are given N30,000 per month to live on and they are still expected to save a certain percentage of the stipend to return to after the two year so that they will not bother government on job creation again.
If I may ask, is N720,000 now a way of paying off Nigeria graduates?
Just like me, some will even say thanks to Buhari government that considered us for this token. What do we say of the previous government?
Pls we are grateful to you our President, M. Buhari.
Thanks
We are graduates,
We are citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
We deserve good job.
Nigeria youths! Where do we go from here?
The state of this nation is a call for youth Alliance.
Thanks
Henri

Re: N-Power Lagos Thread by AutosBay(m): 10:06pm On Mar 24, 2018
Count Yourselves Lucky
Of all the states in Nigeria, Lagos is the leading as far as permanency of Npower volunteers is concerned.
Come to think of it, the LASG has a bigger picture in stock for all recommended Npower volunteers. Firstly, a close source revealed that the LASG will be absorbing the first batch of the Npower volunteers but only those who're given recommendation letters by their respective PPAs together with discharge certificates to be issued by the FG.
Permanency is no longer a beans, it's now a reality.
These two would be the parameters towards absorbing the teeming Npower volunteers.
One of the reasons why you've to count yourself lucky is that, the LASG won't be absorbing for fun but for significant reasons. Firstly, close to 70% of teachers in all public schools both primary & secondary will be retiring between this year & next year, therefore, they see it as a golden opportunity to absorb Npower volunteers into the education or school system. Tied to this, you & i know that, this is an election period & it's always an opportunity for politicians & the general masses to benefit one way or the other from each other.
All Npower volunteers have a big role to play at this point in time & that is why you have to be committed, dedicated & prayerful so that you are not left out of this laudable opportunity that awaits you & i. Secondly, you & i need to contribute more by taking our PPA highly serious than before, most especially those in the Junior Secondary Schools as recommendation gathers momentum.
Thirdly, the forthcoming Npower week is another chance for you & i to showcase our talents, make ourselves available & relevant to the LASG ahead of the ongoing recommendation process & as well to convince them at our various levels respectively that we truly need to be given this umpteen opportunity. My brother or sister, please, don't be left out of this august occasion.
Please note that, no HT has swapped the names of Npower volunteers for his/her candidates because they know the implications attached to it. However, none of them wants to be forced to retire or suspended indefinitely or sacked based on how stern the LASG is at the moment on the civil servants. Moreover, that swap was carried out underground at the LGEA. Each HT recommended with his/her school letter head & it's with thorough inspection & due consideration to the proposed request by the LASG in the letter or memo forwarded to each primary school...
The rest remains endless.
It's hightime you took your PPAs serious with the forthcoming Npower week.
It'll be well with us all!
Yours in struggle,
Dear to struggle,
Dear to win,
Insoweto,
Iyafrica,
Iyafrica,
Insoweto!
Take care & enjoy the rest of your day.
Macaulay Jamiu.

In addition to AutosBay reply, the non passage of 2018 budget may be the critical element for FG not to kick start the 2017 NPower programme. As it is now FG government cannot spent beyond their spending for the same period last year. Unfortunately this same budget is still with the NASS since November 2017 (almost 5 months now).
The worst of it all is that nobody is talking about it but we are quick to blame Buhari for all the economic woes of the country and praising the same set of people who sabotage the rapid growth and development of the country through deliberate acts of slowing down processes and confirmation for their selfish and personal/political interests.
My advice is for you is to put off your mind from the programme untill you hear that 2018 budget has been passed by the NASS.
Re: N-Power Lagos Thread by AutosBay(m): 7:33am On Mar 29, 2018
Thursday, March 29:
1. Lagos will be observing a public holiday.
2. President Buhari touches down in Ikeja and then clambers into a waiting motorcade.
3. This motorcade takes Buhari to the Ikeja bus terminal which sits pretty at the intersection of Airport Road and Simbiat Abiola way. Sorry Computer Village, you won't be in business this once.
4. Buhari commissions Ikeja bus terminal and heads for the Eko Convention Centre (Eko Hotel) in Victoria Island.
5. The Eko Convention Centre is where the 10th Bola Tinubu Colloquium would be holding in honour of Asiwaju’s 66th birthday.
6. Buhari is Chairman of the event which runs on the theme: ' Investing in People'.
7. The event starts at 10:30am which means expect certain major roads to be closed to traffic; from the Mainland to the Island.
8. The Commissioner of Police in Lagos, CP Imohimi Edgal, says there would be temporary road closure and diversions in the following areas: “Ikeja, Maryland, Agege Motor Road, Victoria Island and Ikoyi axis".
That’s basically the spine of the nation’s commercial capital shut down.
9. But not to worry, Edgal says traffic will be managed so well, you won’t even notice the disruption the president's visit will bring.
10. "Security engagements are in top gear, as we are working with the Federal Road Safety Corps, Nigerian Navy, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) and the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA).
”We have done threat assessment and engaged all stakeholders such as the National Union of Road Transport Workers and commercial bike riders. We are appealing that they abide by our agreement at the meeting.
”This is to ensure that Mr President’s visit to Lagos is smooth, safe and hitch-free, ” Edgal says.
11. All blocked roads will be immediately re-opened as soon as the president’s motorcade breezes past, they say.
12. So, there you have it—don’t lose any sleep. This will all be over before you know it.
Friday, March 30
13. Buhari is probably chilling at the Lagos House in Marina or somewhere more exquisite and upbeat, to receive visitors.
14. Later in the day, he heads out to tour the Eko Atlantic City on Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island.
15. Remember, there are still traffic restrictions on Day 2 of Buhari’s visit to Lagos.
It’s a Friday and a public holiday so, » sitting that butt at home and going through your social media feed is going to be your best bet, trust us.
16. Buhari heads for the official flag-off ceremony of the construction of the Lekki Deep Sea Port Project in Epe.
17. And then as evening nears, he begins to pack his bags to leave Lagos for Abuja.
18. Buhari is chauffeur driven to the airport in Ikeja and off he goes until the next election campaign season.

ABOUT THE MONTHLY N250 NPOWER FREE CREDIT
Hello Dear NPowerites,
It's now obvious that either the FG/NPower or MTN has reneged on the terms of the free data/credit agreement.
Below is a chat I had with MTN on the issue:
Me:- Yello
This number 09062970922 was given to me by NPower.
I have not been given the 250 Naira credit for the month of March.
What is the problem?
MTN:- Y'ello Benjamine, checks show you are receiving the 750MB data allocated to each line every month. Please note that the N250 given monthly to to renew the data not for making calls. ~NE
Me:- The arangement was 750MB for browsing and N250 for making calls.
We all were given both in the first few months which we all used the 750MB for browsing and also made calls with the N250 simultaneously.
Except the agreement had changed.
MTN:- Kindly note that the N250 given is to renew the data bundle. Thank you. ^SL
Me:- Well, it is now obvious that MTN have decided to change the rules in the middle of the game.
It wasn't so when it started and this is not what NPower told us.
Thank you
MTN:- You are welcome. ^SL
Now that we have known, I think it's high time we forget about the N250 as from the look of things, it will not come again.
Thank you all.
NB: Please, don't call the number above because I've changed some digits. Copied

Breaking;
Report reaching us says non teaching staffs under NUT Lagos branch are planning to go on strike over move by the State Government to permanent some Npower volunteers. They are claiming State Government should consider them first before Npower volunteers. What is your take on this development?
