Chaos looms in the mines of the mind I feel the walls caving in I watch the bricks collide Sleep eludes me Dreams delude me Sins from the past Trouble the calm of the night Lost in the confines of solitude I cast a benign glance Unto the ends of the earth My sight clouded by a raging storm Swiveling in the depths of my psyche Distorted visions A slave to paranoia I toss my Rosary into the bin Along with faith and fate For thy unkind Silent in the face of despair I seek an end to this pain The rubber pills Offer fleeting relief I feel my lungs deflate With each passing breath My heart grinds to a deafening halt I feel the cold grasp of Anubis A tiny note in my palm Letter from my heart I Hope she understands Why her son had to go The lab results attached Tells the story within I couldn't live with this pain Too big a cross to bear. At my grave Let a Dirge not be sung Nor black robe worn Let no one mourn Or place petals on my tomb For I am gone Gone with the tide of the wind |

This is epic I appreciate good poems and good writers Your lines are well arranged and aptly describes the heart of some people right now... Many have lost the will to go on and Anubis seem to have become tired of having new entrants into the hereafter... I imagine what could be passing thru the minds of loved ones left behind. No matter how useless the dead person had been on earth, he/she is still missed greatly cos we all have a purpose. I can only but pray that life conditions change and the rate at which Anubis and other deathtly hosts received new and unfulfilled members... Suicide is never an option Blessings @op 2 Likes |
