I learnt so many things which has shaped me into adulthood and these include:

1.Nothing like love between a man and a woman

2.The best boyfriend can become the worst husband

3.Make your own money as a woman and buy what you need for yourself by yourself.

4.Do not be overly excited about gifts given to you by a lover. It may no longer be yours when quarrel sets in

5.Marriage is for societal reasons alone;to be a Mrs title holder and earn respect

6. Do not be fast to give relatives money or assist them financially. If they ask you for money, say you don't have but buy good things for yourself, let them see you have it.

7.Do not be soft minded,do not be too caring, too nice to a man...Men don't appreciate such women and you will be taken for granted

I am glad I learnt these lessons from my brutal father
a terrorist husband and unfriendly enemy!

I will never make the mistakes of my mother.

Two periods always come to my mind. Firstly, I remember my father once sat me down at night and told me to start to learn to fight and pray very hard, that some trends he has seen in his and his fathers life may not extend to mine. I recollect that night feeling so disappointed and thinking the praying should be his responsibility and what was he the father for. Well 7 years later, I figured out what and why he said those things. I respect him a lot now for that singular advise, cause i would never have seen it at that young age.
Secondly, was when I was going to start to work, and he told me that in life when ever you go to somewhere new, some people would like you for no reason, while some would just dislike you for reasons you dont know. Just suck it in and move on, leave them to deal with it, dont ever try to over please anyone.
Happy Fathers day to him, we all love him

His polygamous setup taught NEVER to entertain the thought.
It makes me so careful when choosing whom to date, so I can stick with just one.
He told us never to marry from a particular tribe.
Our eldest son did and he died in a short space of time.
He's with the Lord now!

He is so great a man that I'm still learning from Him even after He slept in the Lord.

HE is my Prima. The Leader. My amazing role model. The Voice of Authority. The stare of power. The courage of 10,000 men. The undefeated. The best man in the whole wide world.

Rest on Man. We both know that U are forever in my heart.

He always had the best advice. His coaching system will command U to doff Ur hat. He can turn a rebellious son to a trembling lad in the blink of an eye.

Chai !! Water don dey comot for my eye ooooo.

Dad would always say "Go ahead guys, I've got your back. " Anytime those words resound in our minds, we're more confident.

Hati13:
When I was a young boy, we used to call each other "Hati". Hati was driven from his name "Haile". He was my father and friend. I was his favorite person. He and my mother was a person of true principles. They were true socialist.

I learned from my father to be a reader, to care for others, to be honest and to treat all people equally. My mother also should be included.

My father died in my arms last year. I'm crying when I write this.

Love you Hati. I truly missed you. You are true son of Ethiopia and Africa.
I'm happy for you pal. I didn't learn anything from my own father, i don't even know him that much. I was a kid when he gave up the ghost. Thank God for my lovely mother i learnt much from her. #I love my mother.

From him, I have learnt to make your heart the Lord's temple & stay faithful to the God you claim you serve. I was born a Muslim & grown up as a Christian. My father is still a Muslim though. He neither condemns a religion nor a person. He's always happy when he sees that you are still treading on the right path of life. May none of his children go astray & get lost in the world IJN.

He appreciates the little you give him wholeheartedly & believes no condition is permanent.

He's indeed a role model.

As a last born, I really pray you live long so that I can make you taste something sweeter than honey in life, HAPPINESS, with the help of God.
God, I look up to thee for fulfilment of wishes.
