Newly appointed Nigerian Ambassador, Engr. Frank Efeduma, has lost his son to the cold hands of death.

A member of Avenue Baptist Church in Warri, where the Ambassador worships, told DAILY POST on condition of anonymity that the family is bereaved.


The source stated that the Ambassador’s son died due to protracted illness last week Tuesday and died in an undisclosed hospital at Ekiti State, South-West Nigeria.



Efeduma was a former External Relations Manager, Shell Petroleum Development Company, SPDC.

His wife was said to have been alerted that their son became critically sick on Monday June 12 and later went into coma on Tuesday.


He gave up the ghost before Mrs Efeduma could arrive at Ekiti.


Following the death of his son, Ambassador Efeduma, who was supposed to resume work in the Hague postponed his trip.

But its not completely true. 'Witnesses' who don't know ALL the details should rather say 'I don't know' instead of publishing false stories. And bloggers should try to judge carefully whether a piece of information is credible or not before copy-pasting.

Efeduma, Akpevwe AKA A.K.P did not go down without a fight. He wrote CVE 308 Structural Design exam with us on Monday! And he didn't seem to be sick. Unfortunately he had been battling/managing a disease since we were in 100L (probably before then). He couldn't eat by Tuesday. . .took him to the health centre from which he was transferred to a hospital in Ekiti. . .by then his parents had been phoned and his mom had arrived in school. He fought and fought and kept fighting until early on Friday morning when he had no more strength left. RIP bro. You were funny, you were annoying, you were such a clown, but you were one of the realest, never afraid to say thing how they were no matter the consequences. You always motivated your friends. You told the most annoying dry jokes. I remember our last convo. . .we had plans to meet in Lag this summer. You were supposed to run for social director next year!! Its funny how you can make all the plans you like but at the end of the day life has the ultimate say. We'll never ever EVER forget you. That's not even possible.

You'll be sorely missed. I hope you keep making them laugh, wherever you are.
