On Thursday, June 22, 2017, several Nigerians are in courts across the country on corruption charges, for amounts going into billions of naira.

We gathered that there are at least 5 corruption cases in court according to a list and infographic published by Transparenc ITng.

Below is a list of the cases in court, the amounts involved and the judges:

1. Alex Badeh
Alex Badeh, ex-defence chief, is facing a N3.9bn money laundering charge by the EFCC. The case is to be heard by Justice Okon Abang at the Federal High Court, Maitama, Abuja.

2. Murtala Salisu
Murtala Salisu, the acting director of the Gombe state university, and two others are being arraigned by the EFCC for misappropriating N19 million before Justice B. L. Illiya at the Gombe High court.

3. Jide Omokore
Jide Omokore, a businessman, and five others have been arraigned by the EFCC for $1.6bn money laundering.

The case is to be heard by Justice Nnamdi Dimgba at Federal High Court, Maitama, Abuja.

4. Prof Benjamin Ogunmbodede
Prof. Benjamin Ogunmbodede, the ex-director of the IART, is being arraigned by the EFCC alongside 12 others for a N115m scam.

Justice N. Ayo-Emmanuel will be hearing the case at Federal High Court, Ibadan.

5. Dr Okechukwu Udenze
For awarding a contract without approval and cash backing, Dr Udenze and 7 others are being arraigned by the ICPC before Justice Peter Umeadi at the State High Court, Awka, Anambra.
