UI and UNILAG's first VC: Why Awo Forbidden Zik To Rule Western Region by ERockson: 5:05pm On Jun 26, 2017
We learnt that the first VC of UI and UNILAG were igbo appointed by Nnamdi Azikwe.
It was also alleged by Akintola that about 98% of the appointment or recruitment by the then VC of UI that happened to be igbo were given to igbos.

Can we say this and many factors responsible for why Awolowo forbidden Zik to be the first Premier of Western region.

What would have happened to the Yorubas if Zik was allowed to govern the Yorubas?

Awolowo had no power to forbit zik... never contested an election.. zik was inside biafra.. running propaganda

the igbos have been running propaganda inside biafra without living biafra.

Nothing would have happened.

It would have paved way for Yoruba to govern the Igbos.

Nothing would have happened other than filling all the cabinets with ibos and bring more from the east if there are not enough of them living in Yorubaland. That ibos and Hausa fill their work environment with only their people is still the norm even today. Individual Yoruba are just too selfish to think about general Yoruba interests, too stuppidd to be patriotic and too fearful to know the difference. Yoruba are the same people with the saying "Omo eni o k'ise di bebere, ka f'ileke s'idi omo elomi" yet still abandon their own children and put not just Ileke, but Iyun and gold in other people's waists all day long and all their life. Is it a curse or what? If Osinbajo were to be from another tribe, you would have seen Yoruba leaders more vocal about the power he should have, but now that he's one of them they are all mute. It's as if they believe Yoruba are not worthy and don't deserve any support, sending psychological signals of hopelessness to Yoruba youths. This is why all spaghetti spine Yoruba leaders must be killed to pave way for the more aggressive and patriotic Yoruba leaders and movement for such a time as this. Heaven knows that Moremi during her time was thinking the way I'm thinking right now.

What makes Yorubas standout in Nigeria is our ability to rise above the sentiments you seek to appeal to.

Osinbajo is Acting President, biko, which power are you looking for him to have again?

Spare me the BS! The same lie you have been telling yourself to the extent of being a walk-over.

Osinbajo should be sworn in as the president. The fact that we have not seen Buhari in public and there have been no real updates on his health should be a ground for him to be sworn in as the president
.

This is you just being unreasonable. If you had written that the President should resign, I would have seen rational thought and respected your opinion. However, to ask that Osinbajo should be installed as president just because of tribe is no better than all the other tribal goons out there.

The truth is no tribe is greater than the other. Intelligence, competence and ability are not hidden from any tribe by God.

Regardless of the fact that certain conditions make a tribe or any other grouping you want to give humans act a certain way.

Patience is what most often distinguishes us from the garullous IPOB youth. Its only a matter of time before the needful is done.

The fact that most of the strategic Yoruba leaders are seemimgly quiet is a mind game which has been effective so far. The northern elites and youths are confused and unsettled by this disposition which made them issue out the so called kaduna ultimatum and then subsequently issued out another statment about power not leaving the North in 2019 which is their main message.

Anything short of the legal constitutional position of government on or before 2019 will determine the future of the exixtence of one Nigeria as it is today.

A bishop from Anambra state was appointed to head a church in Imo state by the papacy.
He was rejected by his fellow ibo men in Imo.
That is to say how clannish they can be.
